Nwaneri would be a great pickup, very much in the Lewis Hall vein of transfers. You just know Arsenal will want £50m for him though or something daft.
-
Not a pen for me, not even close Both players at it, Madueke is pulling the defender's arm.
-
Gordon cost us £45m, has CL experience and years left on his contract. Palace and Brentford signed Eze and Mbeumo for a relative pittance so far easier for them to turn a big profit with a lower fee, and neither had played in Europe until this season. Don't disagree with your point perse but our initial outlay has to be a factor in pricing IMO.

I think Nunez would be a real hit here.
-
He's pretty similar to Ramsey IMO.
-
I think that's exactly it, not that I agree with it.
-
Most of our good attacking play first half went through him in some way. Was unlucky to be subbed - at the very least, thought his height would've been useful for set pieces.
-
Fair enough. I thought he started poorly but grew into the game - was linking well with Gordon and coming inside to good effect towards the end of the first half. The header was a half-chance - I wouldn't have expected many in the squad to hit the target from that distance. The second - he should've gone for the far post admittedly but worked the space well enough. I agree that Elanga has been a poor signing to date but I find the rush to have a pop to him on this occasion, as if he's one of the primary culprits, when we've defended diabolically and looked hopeless in midfield, pretty strange. He wasn't even on the pitch for our worst spell of the game.

He wasn't atrocious today. What did you think of Barnes and Murphy?
-
Surprised he's being singled out for criticism TBH. He was one of our brighter players in the first half. Was significantly better than Barnes, who was pretty anonymous by contrast.
-
3 weeks' break, back to one game a week with a reasonable run-in and Bruno and Miley hopefully back from injury. Today was an abysmal showing and Howe and the players deserve pelters, but we still have every chance of a strong finish. If we continue to turn in performances like today post-break, I'll be deeply concerned.
-
Hickey's so injury-prone but I agree with the need for versatility. Would like to see us go for Rico Lewis or Lewis-Skelly as rotation options personally.
-
Looks like he's checked out based on recent appearances. Inexcusable for the second goal.
-
Been the pick up of the midfield so far
-
Strung a couple of nice moves together over the past 10 mins or so.
-
They've not started badly.
-
Wolte has started well
-
Playing against a low block will hopefully suit Woltemade more.
-
He's played a lot of football this season. Think there was a stat that he had the most top flight minutes played of any defender in Europe in 2026 at one point.
-
Barcelona's finishing in open play has been crazy clinical, to be fair. We're miles away from that level of ruthlessness.
-
These Barca subs, man Rashford's not even on yet.
-
These have stepped it up a notch, to be fair.

You don't think Cancelo shouldn't have been booked for obstructing Trippier?
-
We've been really good, two brain farts aside, and still well in the tie. Elanga and Barnes are causing them all sorts of grief in behind. The refereeing has been absolutely abysmal, mind. How Fermin and Cancelo have escaped without a yellow card is completely beyond me.
