  1. Bruno got absolutely nowhere near the ball like. Nothing made of it though, as per.
  2. Gamez injured? Thought he'd have made the bench at least after Swansea.
  3. Chelsea/Everton is on but Sky instead choose to show quite possibly the most uninspiring PL fixture possible instead in WBA/Stoke.
  4. I think Rafa will be off either in January or at the end of the season but can't see him going to West Ham at the moment. Their owners might not be Mike Ashley but they're still fucking idiots. Rafa would've been fuming at the prospect of having to play the first four games of the season away from home and I cannot see him putting up with Twitter histrionics of David Gold, Sullivan and his daft son for long at all. The lack of a transfer window to rectify a seriously unbalanced squad will also be a factor IMO. Perhaps I'm being naive but on a human level I think Rafa will stick it out for a bit longer, out of respect for the fans and out of loyalty to the players that he has brought in.
  5. Long's a good player and would play the lone striker role well. Unfortunately he's not prolific and ultimately wouldn't be worth the money that it'd take to sign him IMO. I'd rather play Joselu based on the little I've seen of him. Long's hold up play isn't very good and he's a bit thick Agree.

  7. Beaming after that, the perfect tonic to a shite week. Merino was superb as were Atsu, Ritchie, Hayden, Perez and Mbemba. A special mention for Joselu as well - led the line excellently while he was on the pitch and made a huge difference to our play.
  8. He's got to sell them before he can bring anyone else in. He said before the game that he would need to give them a chance to show other clubs that they're fit and worth signing. Missed this tbf. What if they get injured though?
  9. Cannot understand why Hanley, Saivet, Lazaar and the like featured tonight. If they're not in your plans, don't fucking play them.
  10. learning process? f***ing bullshit. Anyone in the first team squad who needs to learn shouldn't be there. Ridiculous comment as per. Surely we should have learned last season how to beat championship teams away from home. We haven't improved, they have. They're much less of a championship team than we are at the moment. The Aldi Klopp must know what he's doing then. They've improved by spending money on new players, if it wasn't already obvious from what I said. Weve only spent £10m less and they had more work to do. Only £10m Disagree about them needing to buy more as well. I'd have replaced everyone bar Ritchie, Shelvey, and Gayle and even then they wouldn't have been guaranteed starts. If you were a Huddersfield town fan you'd be asking for the whole team to be replaced, or did they have a better squad than ours last year? Ps £10m is half the amount we need to spend on just one player this window to spark some life in to the team. However with what he's got he should be winning games like this, no excuses. He stated that both Huddersfield and Reading had better squads than ours last season Who did? You did. Ah right, squads. Yeah, I stand by it. Even at that level, beyond Shelvey, Gayle, Ritchie, and Clark, most of our players were average Championship players. So as you'd expect, they're not likely to do all that well in the Premier League now that they haven't been improved upon. I'm very much of a 'Rafa has worked wonders with what he has' mindset, whereas it seems like you seem to think all of the team's problems are tactical. Fair enough, you do you and all that. This is just nonsense like. I accept that the squad of last season had a few glaring deficiencies in certain positions but it was comfortably and objectively better than the likes of Huddersfield and Reading.
