  1. Chelsea pressed us like fuck for the first 10 or so. Easier said than done for an already limited side to keep the ball under high pressure.
  2. Correct. Any half decent team will just do this to us for the rest of the season and we'll be f***ed. Our mentality and organisation are just so s*** though, we look fragile as f***. That should be the first thing a new manager sorts A manager can't exactly legislate for individual fuckups 3 minutes into a game like.
  3. Haven't coped with Chelsea off the ball at all. They're pressing high and not giving us time on the ball either, which we've had in spades in the last 2 home games. Taylor and Tiote have been brutally exposed so far.
  4. He played well last week and we literally have no-one else.
  5. Embarrassing defending this. Absolutely pathetic. Tiote and Janmaat miles off Willian there.
  6. Get in. Great finish from Martial.
  7. Defoe passed a late fitness test apparently. Have to say I would be open to the possibility of him tearing his hammie today.

Redcafe have locked their thread on the matter until the trial's over FWIW.

18th according to Whoscored for shots per game - ahead of Sunderland and WBA. 12th for shots on target.

This In one but their club must have known and that makes it even worse that they actually still continued to play him. Agreed - but the mackems will say as far as they knew, he was pleading not guilty. It's more to do with him being one of their best players and also given their position. Football Clubs and morality often rarely go together - we also know all about that. Thing is, if Sunderland had stated from the outset that Johnson was innocent until proven guilty and that he would continue to play for them as normal until a verdict had been made, I doubt many would have taken objection to it. It's the fact that they suspended him first, then rescinded it as soon as Advocaat realised how bad their squad was that makes them look really bad in all of this imo.

We played pretty openly at Arsenal and Man City away in fairness.

That may be so, but pretty much every time we've bought a player we haven't really heard of he's turned out to be utter s***. Not to mention the tens of millions wasted on more established players like Anita, MYM, Cabella etc. Some of that is down to coaching. You could easily argue that all 3 of those mentioned are glaringly physically unsuited to English football yet they cost over £20m. Perez was only £1.5 million or so. Harsh to throw him in the same boat as the other two, especially seeing as he's been relatively successful. Mbemba and Mitrovic were both relatively obscure pickups; debatable as to whether Mitro's been a success so far (I'd argue that he has, even if his goal record suggests otherwise), but Mbemba's generally been very good. Edit: misread the original post, ignore the top bit.
  13. I really don't rate him. Plenty of technical ability but lacks a brain and has a shocking injury record. Doesn't look like he's improved much at all since joining Arsenal.
  14. Honestly hope you do. Your WUM patter is boring as f***. Righto. Having a different opinion to people = wind up. t***. He has been utter s**** for so long, but its ok guys he runs very fast at defenders then can't do f*** all with it. He's way out in front of everyone else in the side for chances created. In those terms, he's one of our most productive offensive players. From Squawka (top 5): 1. Sissoko - 46 2. Wijnaldum - 34 3. Perez - 27 4. Janmaat - 19 5. Mitrovic - 14
  15. Firmino's been different class the last few weeks.

Aarons actually defended fairly well on a few occasions. He did to be fair, agreed Loved his nonchalant barge on Gardner in the first half.

Easy to say with hindsight but starting Aarons was definitely the right move. WBA played with absolutely no width, taking the emphasis off of Aarons' defensive inexperience and allowing him to push forward, playing his natural game. Not sure I fancy him against Willian next week however.
  18. Banging corner for that Mitrovic chance in the first half as well.

    Rolando Aarons

Assured performance considering he was being played out of position. Much more comfortable on the ball than Dummett and the rest of the team actually looked to give him the ball as a result.
