  2. Ramsey really is a little shit these days.
  3. Neymar's finishing has been pants tonight.
  4. That pass was eye of the needle stuff. Brilliant.
  5. Not that I care either way but there would be uproar if Arsenal dived to get a penalty. Red card decision was just as bad IMO. And the red card changed the game way more than the penalty Game is 0-0 either way so I don't see how you quantify what impacted more tbh. The game was the same after the penalty as before. After the red card the game totally changed. Of course it had a bigger impact. In terms of actual gameplay not the scoreline obviously Nonsensical to suggest that conceding a goal is the same as losing a man.
  6. I sincerely hope you're fishing. Absolute car crash of a post.
  7. 8 penalties in the league so far this season now I think.
  8. Suppose the one thing you could say in Vardy's defence is that Monreal sticks his foot in for the ball and gets nowhere near it. As soon as he commits, he gives Vardy license to look for the pen.
  9. He's been absolutely immense so far.

    Steven Taylor

    Positively rank today.
  11. Fantasy clean sheets for Courtois and Azpilicueta down the drain, thanks Andros
  12. Im really not getting this. Bar the goals, we've not approached this anything like our recent away games. We've done s**** in defence & given the ball away. If anything we've been so exposed specifically because we're attacking more in this match. We're trying to play the ball out slowly from the back and we're not looking to set up our attacks quickly. When Chelsea have the ball we sit off them and let their immensely talented players have space to run at us. Compare that to our home games where we aggressively press and seem to expend much more energy, it just seems like a different approach to me. Maybe I'm just frustrated with our crapness but that's how I feel about it today. I'd argue that pressing against a team like Chelsea is near suicide for a team like ours. You saw how easily Willian turned Tiote for the 1st goal. They'd pass through our midfield for fun and put a shoddy defence under even more pressure. We're strong on the break; sitting a bit deeper, nullifying the pass in behind and countering quickly was the way to approach this imo. That would be a decent approach but it's not what we did. We're pressing them now and look a lot better. I'd prefer anything to what we did first half. The effort and intent to do anything didn't seem to be there. We looked beaten from the first whistle. It might have been what McClaren was intending. We'll never know because we conceded almost straight from the kick off. As for pressing, we have nothing to lose now and Chelsea are in cruise control. We also have an extra body in midfield and Colback, for all his flaws, has a reasonable engine.

  14. Correct. Any half decent team will just do this to us for the rest of the season and we'll be f***ed. Our mentality and organisation are just so s*** though, we look fragile as f***. That should be the first thing a new manager sorts A manager can't exactly legislate for individual f***ups 3 minutes into a game like. What about not having a gameplan away from home, constantly conceding s*** goals and only scoring 6 away, all season? Individual mistakes are happening quite often, it would seem. Poor ol McClaren. He probably did have a gameplan, which was promptly thrown onto the fire after Taylor, Tiote and Elliot gifted Chelsea the first goal 3 minutes into the match. Then Aarons fluffs a simple pass only minutes later. I'm not defending our abysmal away form - or McClaren's role in it - but is it really that outlandish to suggest that the players have let the manager down in this instance?
  15. He's been one of our better players so far. He's been unbelievably lazy when he's had to track back. See 3rd goal. I see Tiote and Janmaat for the 3rd goal mate, not Shelvey.
