Sky Sports saying not dislocated thank fuck
-
How did he play?
-
Just picked up my ticket tonight and the guy in the ticket office said they had sold more than for the Bolton game so there should be a reasonable crowd. What they will be doing is a different matter.
-
Adi Boothroyd no thanks. I would give up if he came in
-
Someone posted earlier (Cant find it) Tony Mowbray. Its an interesting one - young ambitious manager who likes pass and move attacking football. Would like to see how he would do with a better squad than West Brom
-
Not a bad shout. Good man manager, attacking football , would be interesting rather than a foreign coach

"Oh, yes, 'cause, like, I'm a bit of a perfectionist, actually! Yes, I am. See, for me, it's got to be the best, or it's nothing at all. Like things get a bit dodgy, I just cannot be bothered." Spud (Trainspotting)

1. Partly agree. Make no mistakes, I'm against the DoF setup. A manager should never be undermined when it comes to transfers. Though I would assume that Keegan was told that a DoF was to be appointed when he took the job. This problem could, and should, have been sorted at an earlier stage, with a lot less fuzz. But Ashley is the owner, not the chairman. He doesn't run the club, that's the chairman's job. He's, of course, involved in some matters, like appointing Wise and the scouting team, and I would assume that Keegan stated his opinions at the time. Maybe Ashley thought that the problem would die off in time, that Keegan would come around etc - clearly he was wrong and look where we are now. That was Ashley's mistake, no doubt. At the same time I feel that when Keegan didn't resign when Wise was first appointed, it's weak of him to go now. He didn't get to do the job the way he wanted, but so he knew for the past few months. 2. Agree. This should have been resolved earlier but none of us know what has been going on behind the scenes. I for one believe that Owen will sign a new contract before January. 3. Now this is a strange opinion. Ramage, Carr, Emre, Faye, Milner and Rozenhal out. Jonas, Guthrie, Coloccini in - quality improvement on every player. Especially Jonas, who looks like he can set the PL on fire this year. In addition to that we got Gonzalez, and Xisco who I know nothing about. Rozenhal, Ramage and Carr was deadwood anyway. Emre was mostly injured and Faye was a decent player, nothing more. Quality improvement, no doubt about it. As for Milner, he should have been replaced. But how can one resist a £12 mill bid, it's like an early christmas-gift. All in all, the squad is strengthened. 4. Failed to add quality to key areas? Coloccini - CB. Key area. Guthrie - CM. Key area. Jonas - Everywhere. Key area. Xisco - CF. Key area (assuming he's as good as we would like to think). 5. Agree. But at the same time it's better than the old regimes mumbo jumbo. I miss Mort though. 6. Know nothing about that since I'm Norwegian and sadly only get to go to St. James' once or twice a year. 7. To be fair, we already were. 8. See nr 7. My point in all this is that we were heading in the right direction. Keegan came back, the club got it's enthusiasm and optimism back and the financial side got resolved. That is a major point, because football isn't just feelings it's also business. We were on the verge of bankruptcy, now we are debt-free and in a strong financial position. I'm sure none of you would like to see us become Leeds? The new recruitment team is also a step in the right direction, minus Wise. Assuming it is they who picked our signings, they did one hell of a job and I'm quite excited to see what's next. Who can blame the club for appointing them, when Keegan had been out of the game for so long? These are professional scouts, they know what they're doing and that is the way it should be. Though the manager should always have the last say, it's a massive advantage to have such a team. Spurs have spent £45 mill on Pavluchenko, Bentley and Modric. Of course I would like us to spend that kind of money, but to be fair we've done just as well with Jonas, Guthrie, Coloccini and Xisco for a lot less. Now we're a mess again, but we're still in a solid financial position, we still got an excellent recruitment team and St. James' Park will continue to fill up for every game. In other words, this is not the end of the world. We will get a new manager, we will still pick up points and probably secure a decent position this season. Give Ashley a chance and have confidence in his team to work through this. That's supporting the club, not whining and screaming "Ashley out" just because Keegan skipped. No man is bigger than the club, not even King Kev. I will never forget what he did in the 90's, but that's the past. It's time to look forward. I rarely post, even though I spend a massive amount of time reading the board. Thought it was time to state my opinion. Now I'm gonna finish my beer and fuck off to bed and dream about what's to come. Good post. Hope your right about St James still being full every game. I think it will take a while for the crowds to recover from this.

I cant imagine any owner taking on Keegan after this First bit of trouble and they would be waiting for him to fuck off
-
No need to shout. Can he speak spanish though?
-
Just one question - how often has he done it, and is it 100% of the time ? For Gods sake stopping living in a sodding fantasy world. Much as I like KK and wish he was still in charge, I'm not as Mills and Boon-ish about him as 90% of you have shown yourself to be
-
Embarrassing thread. He quit his job ffs.
-
If he had a season in the premiership he could be in with a shout
-
Get Frank Gilmour as spokesman
-
Why didnt he bring him in last time then?
-
What about Money - could be another Roder

bit of a straw man argument as you seem to think people assume keegan has no flaws. but that's wrong - the keegan that nufc fans love is the one that made the "i'd Love it if we beat them, love it" statement, the one we know is emotional and wears his heart on his sleeve. it is this passion and the desire to challenge things head on that has partly caused this situation. people arent denying that - they're just looking at it a bit more deeply than you are and looking at what caused keegan to go head to head with llambias, rather than just focusing on the act of confrontation itself as if it existed in a vacuum - without very real problems and underlying issues that, i presume, still exist at the club and will be probably be causing the new man the exact same problems 8 months down the line. similar problems have caused Curbishley to walk out at west ham, or Mourinho to leave Chelsea, or Redknapp to leave Southampton. So why has everyone who's dared to post something even remotely suggesting that Keegan might be at fault taken shit and abuse by the barrel-load? Plenty of people think he can do no wrong and are not prepared to hear a single word against him, read back through the thread if you don't believe me, it's there in black and white. As for the rest of what you wrote, well you're making the assumption that just because I've criticised Keegan I must think that Ashley and Co can do no wrong and that's simply bollocks. You appear to see the word in a very simple way, black or white, right or wrong, good or bad, Keegan or Ashley, well that's not how I see it so you'll never be able to understand what I'm talking about. i made that post cos i felt you were putting words in other fan's mouths, telling them what they are thinking. i thought that was patronising and demeaning so i pointed out where you were -factually - wrong so you might realise. sadly you have just gotten worse and are throwing shit about telling me how i think and i how see the world. what a fucking joke. another decent poster turns into a raving lunatic. for the record, people are responding to stuff they think is wrong, and it is often loaded because this is an emotional time. but maybe i should leave you to jump to conclusions and tell people their opinions instead of giving others a chance to speak for themselves. Dont think Indi is a lunatic tbh - one of the few keeping their heads.

Top post my friend. People have to be rational here. This reaction is embarrassing. The media are loving it. To think Ashley was the one that brought the man back in the first place. I am pretty sure he did his best to make things work. Keegan is out of order. God knows what clubs wanted for the players Keegan wanted? Should Ashley have brought them in regardless? Just because Keegan demanded it? I'm sure they tried, but if not possible then surely they had to look at other options making use of a quality scouting network? He was given good players, who he was getting the best out of and things had started out brilliantly and he still wasn't happy. It's not an ideal world, things aren't always perfect, sometimes you have to show a little faith and be out of your comfort zone a little bit. Keegan didn't give it enough of a chance for me. At least he could have waited to see if thes players were bad or if it was too difficult to work with them, or if the team was faltering badly because of them. Keegan bailed out way too quickly for me. I honestly don't think the board had any bad intentions whatsoever. Some sense amid the hysteria. What good do people think protests and boycotts are going to do? KK aint coming back. Trying to get Ashley out will just damage the club and the team. For me the new setup was going in the right direction and I hope we get a manager who can work with it.

Maybe set fire to yourself and throw yourself off the top of the Gallowgate to really make an impact.
-
Interesting to see if Xisco can do the Viduka roll in that lineup. Dont know if he can hold the ball up like the duke

I know people have knocked the London setup but it stopped all the leaks about transfer targets at least.
-
Thought that Richard Money was supposed to be a top coach?
-
Who have we sold then? If you mean Milner I would rather have the £12mill thanks
-
We need to get behind the team whatever happens off the pitch. I'll def be there.
