i'm not that arsed about geremi, its the idea that he isnt even trying to improve the defence which has shown that they clearly are not good enough. With no Taylor and Coloccini its a bit difficult to be fair. None of the understudies would be able to handle this game. He's picked a midfield that can battle and get some decent delivery in the box. People talk about adding extra pace but the only two that add that in midfield are Lua-Lua and Vuckic.

Geremi can at least put crosses in the box. He's clearly compensating for the fact that we're away and we got overrun in midfield in our last away game. Calm down ffs.

People were clearly watching a different game on Saturday, Enrique was one of our better players.

We asked to play on a Wednesday. If you don't ask you don't get.... Wasn't aware you could request a fixture date. Fair enough, longer break I'm not complaining.

Any reason why we always play midweek on a Wednesday when the rest of the league plays on a Tuesday? Also London club travelling to Newcastle on a Wednesday night? Football League need their heads checking.

Harper 6 - Nothing to do. Zurab 7 - Was solid, cleaned up any danger down his side, bit iffy at centre back when he filled in. Good debut overall. S. Taylor 8 - Solid, not much to do. Coloccini 7 - Same as Taylor, a few iffy clearences though. Enrique 7 - Great defensively, really needs to work on distribution though. Good going forward. R.Taylor 8 - Good delivery all day, cracking free kick. Butt 6 - Shocking first half, better second half. Smith 7 - Kept things tidy as usual. Nolan 10 - Never stopped working, brilliant hat-rick. Will continue to score at this level. Carroll 8 - Won pretty much every header, chased everything back. Ranger 8 - Should have scored, won every header, caused problems for them all day. Subs Lovenkrands 6 - Didn't see much of him. Harewood 6 - Great effort on goal, looks promising. Donaldson 6 - Was solid at RB.

Sat there the entire game with a wide smile on my face. We absolutely bossed them in every department. Nolan and Ranger the pick of the players for me. Zurab looks solid and Harewood looks like he will do well.
