  1. We didn't play great tonight, not by any stretch, but still had plenty of chances and could have won by a few. At the end of the day we're up! Harper 6 - Fairly solid, a few dodgy moments but mostly ok. Simpson 5 - Poor tonight, gets beat far too often for my liking and wasn't great on the ball going forward. Williamson 6 - Solid, but not his best game, we looked a bit dodgy at the back at times. Colo 6 - See Williamson. Enrique 7 - Not great going forward, but I'm convinced no winger will ever beat him. Routledge 6 - Caused them all kinds of problems, needs to work on his end product. Nolan 6 - Cracking goal fatty! Guthrie 6 - Quiet game, still gives us plenty of drive and his delivery keeps getting better. Jonas 6 - What a fucking goal he almost scored. Carroll 6 - Got in that prick Morgan's head and won the pen. Lovenkrands 7 - Perfectly dispatched penalty and got in behind them all the time. Ameobi 5 - Shame he was offside. Him scoring would have wrapped it up perfectly. Barton 5 - Not on long enough to judge really.
  2. Just got SSN watching that yellow bar constantly go across the screen! While my little brother has gone and put blaydon races on youtube in the background. Gonna enjoy this, don't think it will sink in properly till after the match like.
  3. Cardiff players doing a Dyer and Bowyer
  4. Yup. Would make it Forest v Leicester and Cardiff v Swansea. Tasty.
  5. Who plays who in the playoffs like? Is it 3rd v 6th and 4th v 5th?
  6. Class Was expecting it to be that idiot Alan Parry.
  7. If WBA had lost, the earliest date to win the title would have been at Plymouth. Nope, as it stands Brom have played 42 games and are on 83 points. We have 86 from 40 games. Maximum return for Brom is 12 points, putting their maximum total to 95. We now need 10 points from 6 games to guarantee the title. (Unless i am mistaken) Yeah just totted it up in my head actually, you're right.
  8. If WBA had lost, the earliest date to win the title would have been at Plymouth.
  9. Betis got relegated? last season Shows how closely I follow Spanish Football Thought they were still a mid-table to top half La Liga club.
  10. More games away in the North West for me to go to. Blackburn, Bolton, Everton, Liverpool, Man City, Man United, Stoke and Wigan Away will all hopefully be attended by me Having the Tyne-Wear derby back as well, gonna try and get to SJP to attend one for the first time. Being on MOTD. Premier League name and numbers on back of shirts.
  11. Looked like Harper had a mare today. The attempted scissor kick Anyway a win is a win and we rested a few, smiles all round
  12. If we did rest people for this I'd go Harper R.Taylor Colo Kadar Enrique Pancrate Guthrie Smith Jonas Best Lovenkrands Like I said I'd rather we didn't though.
  13. As has been said already we shouldn't needlessly rest people until promotion is secured, even then I'd like to win the league so wouldn't be in favour of doing it too much. Same team as Monday with Ameobi or Best in for Carroll. Needless to say if Hugton plays 4-5-1 against this lot I'll be raging.
  14. Good enough for first team: Harper Krul Williamson S.Taylor Colo Jose Jonas Carroll Would at least be ok in first team: Routledge Guthrie Shola Lovenkrands Good enough to at least be back ups: Simpson (though he's struggled of late) Kadar (plenty of potential) R.Taylor Smith Nolan Barton
  15. Sure Liverpool wouldn't mind like
  16. hmm, i suspect that we will again be on telly probably 5th or 6th most, so we'll receive in the region of around 60M, our turnover next season could be in the region of over 100M with the new sponsorship and money received from player sales £60m wouldn't be a bad estimate. Maybe I'm being an optimist but it seems that we could be one of the more financially stable clubs in the next few years (touch wood). i do also expect some big earners to be moved on in the summer, i.e. butt will be out, xisco, possibly barton if we can get rid of him Smith as well maybe. That will help, for all Ashley's mistakes I am very much in favour of the new wage structure.
  17. This. I have a Sporting Lisbon training top made by them, love it.
  18. Cleverley on a season long loan would be canny. Would hopefully blossom playing at a much higher standard than he currently is at Watford. Would love Van Aanholt back on a similar deal to provide cover for Enrique. Miles Addison from Derby wouldn't be a bad signing either. Especially if Taylor leaves.

  20. Little news in brief in The Times. Apparently Premier League clubs TV money is to go up between 2010-2013 thanks to new overseas TV deals. Takes the minimum money earned in a season by any team competing in the PL to £40 million. A good time to be promoted
  21. Love it when we start chanting "Jose, Jose, Jose Jose" followed by "Booooooooooooooooooooooooo" when he gets booked!!!! atmosphere reminds me of the good ol' SBR days at SJP!!!! Loved the pile on celebration, particularly as they all dive on him, they're in a pile and 10 seconds later Shola joins in with a comedy dive/jump.
  22. That would be a cracking move, but I think its less and less realistic as he's now being used more often by Man United in big games.
