Agree on this. Really didn't think Taylor or Simpson were that bad, defending anyway. Going forward they weren't up to much.
-
Just got back, very satisfying win. Have to say Hughton got it right tonight with the team, stopped them from playing, knew we were gonna nick it at somepoint in the second half, the way Carroll and Nolan were causing their defenders problems a goal was inevitable. Their disallowed goal was offside, late flag though. Apart from that they were shit. Harper 7 - Safe as houses. R.Taylor 7 - Did very little wrong Kadar 8 - Absolutely cracking performance from the lad, smart defender who just does the simple things very well. Coloccini 8 - Love him, brilliant all game a class above in this division. Simpson 7 - Solid to say he was playing on the left, did ok linking with Jonas, still not great going forward. Routledge 8 - Canny, brilliant pass through for the goal, caused them problems all night. Got into good attacking areas time after time. Butt 5 - Even not too bad from him, he's clearly past it. But he did ok and looked comfortable towards the end. Sprayed a lovely ball to Routledge as well. Guthrie 6 - Was involved a lot in our most dominant spell of possession leading up to and after the goal. Not his best performance though. Jonas 6 - Little end product tonight, ran all game though as you'd expect. Nolan 7 - He really is a lazy bastard like, he had a chance keeper saved it and I swear it took him 5 mins to get back in position. Played well tonight though. Carroll 7 - Cracking finish, won pretty much every header, hold up play is terrific. Barton 5 - Didn't see much of him. Pancrate 5 - Only on for 2 mins and stoppage time. Don't know where the ref got 4 mins stoppage time from like. Would like to extend thanks to Ocho for giving me and my mate a lift, top man.

Just on the way back now. Much better second half, could tell the goal was coming. Routledge was excellent, whole back four was solid. Very impressed with kadar.
-
At the game, pretty poor, fancy us to nick it, kadar has been impressive.
-
Taylor probably said something to wind him up. He looks like the type of cunt that can't keep his mouth shut. To be fair as long as Carroll's hand is ok for tomorrow I don't care
-
Heading down about 4 with Ocho his mate and one of my mates. Can't wait, first game since Boro at Home in December.

Aye Preston was a Monday I remember now it was on Sky.
-
Preston? Aye, we won 1-0 at Preston, should know I was there Cracking night, was such a good atmosphere in our end. Barnsley away was better though, first 10 rows charging forward when we scored. Loved it.

Don't think so. They're ordering their shirts off Puma, we're getting them made for us. IIRC at least. What's the difference of this? Geting shirts "ordered" or "made"? Ordering would be the same process as a sunday league team do to get their shirts. Getting them made is Puma paying us to wear their shirts. IIRC. Precisely, its a deal between the two parties, they're paying us for the exposure they'll get from it, plus you'll probably see Puma advertising boards replacing the addidas ones that are already dotted around SJP. And the Addidas/NUFC store at SJP will become a Puma/NUFC store. Yeah, hence the 'everything must go' sale they have on in the addidas store at NUFC at the moment.

His cross is magnificent, don't want to build him too early but for me he's got more all round ability than Crouch and Heskey. Plenty of potential to become a good PL player.
-
Disagree there, he was up on his own, all Simpson had to do was show him onto his left foot and he had no chance (nobody to cross too and plenty of support behind Simpson). Instead he actually allowed him to do the only thing he could, cut inside and shoot, it was very poor defending and totally preventable. Great strike once he got the chance of course. This. Show him down the line and don't give him the opportunity to shoot. i was shouting this at the tele. push him down the line, at least stand him up on the edge of the box. as soon as simpson put a foot back into the box it was trouble. i wonder if he got any sort of call fron either of the centre halves ? Shouldn't need a call, especially when he's played at Man U. Would be worried about him as our RB in the PL the call should still be there to confirm that a) simpson had cover behind him b) the player with the ball was receiving no support through the middle. a call of "line him" or "stand him up". even the best teams still use basic communication. Well that would probably be Hall's fault then, as I've read that Colo despite being not the best English speaker communicates pretty well with his back four.

Really gave literal meaning to the phrase ' a game of two halves' that one did. First half we were beyond poor, second half as soon as we got 1 back we dicked them, there was never any doubt we'd get a second. Should've won but I'll take a point after being 2-0 down. Harper 5 - Was massively at fault for the first goal, those should be bread and butter saves. Simpson 5 - Poor for the majority, partly at fault for their second would be very scared with him at RB in the Premier League. Coloccini 6 - Fairly solid Hall 6 - See colo Enrique 7 - Looked a bit slow but quality shone through, the lad is pure class. Routledge 5 - Struggled for a large part of the game, did well with the assist for the equaliser though. Nolan 5 - Was involved in some neat exchanges, still doesn't do enough away from home for me. Guthrie 6 - Should've fucking buried his chance before HT. Seems to give us a lot of drive in centre mid when we're attacking, should continue to start every game. Gutierrez 7 - Jeckyl and hyde. Terrible first half, switches flanks and dicks them second half. Great awareness for the 1st goal, clearly growing in confidence with every game and irritates opposing teams something rotten. Best 5 - Fucking hell he's never gonna score, great save stopped him winning it for us. Was poor for most of the game though, needs a goal for confidence. Carroll 7 - Improving all the time, holds the ball up and gets moves going, has a canny cross on him and is very clinical. Deserves to be no9 next season. Kadar 6 - Looked ver solid and has a good shot on him by the looks of it. Wouldn't be scared if he had to play CB on Tuesday, though we may need an emergency loan in just in case.

I'm going to this we're undefeated in games where I've been this season *touch wood*

Voted Lovenkrands, but 1 just isn't enough. Top 5 would be. 1. Lovenkrands 2. Jose 3. Ameobi (for sheer comedy value and the utter look of delight on the face when he scores. Shame he's always injured like) 4. Coloccini 5. Guthrie (he's fucking magic at the minute. That pass for Carroll's second on wednesday ) Jonas is up there as well.

Routledge and Jose are back for this one. Harper Simpson Hall Colo (if fit) Jose Routledge Guthrie Nolan Jonas Caroll Lovenkrands -
Dream scenario would be for us to go up. Some mega rich billionaire to take us over and employ Mourinho, tell him he can employ his own staff but ask that he keeps Hughton as an assistant for the job that he did. I'd absolutely love that.

Will likely be out on the lash for St. Paddys, big deal here in Liverpool so I'll be drunkenly checking the score on my phone, assuming I'm still standing. -
1) Newcastle United 2) Sunderland 3) Man Utd 4) Man City 5) Chelsea 6) Arsenal 7) Tottenham 8) Liverpool 9) Everton 10) Aston Villa 11) West Ham 12 Birmingham 13) Fulham 14) West Brom 15) Nottingham Forest 16) Wolves 17) Leeds United 18) Sheffield United 19) Sheffield Wednesday 20) Norwich Easy, just omit most of the shit from the bottom half and fill as appropriate. Could make a case for Preston, Ipswich. Southampton and Leicester as well tbh.

Really disgusting, hope the lads ok, he can celebrate twice as much if we go up and they don't make the playoffs. As has been said we hopefully won't have to deal with that scummy arsehole of a place and its supposed 'football club' that still can't fill its ground even for a supposed 'derby' for a while.
