  1. Steven Taylor and Coloccini are both 33/1 FG against Spurs so I've got 50p e/w on both those. £1 on 3-1 NUFC at 28/1 £2 on Celtic -1 and Rangers -1 £1 on Stoke, Norwich/Swansea draw and Wigan/Bolton draw
  2. Hooper at that price would be good business imo.
  3. Apparently he crashed his car into a lampbeans. Can't wait for them to start taking the piss on GSS, should he remain on it.

Couldn't really give a fuck either way. If we keep him around as backup then fair enough, if we don't then thanks for the championship and best of luck conning other club into thinking that you've got the required heart/fitness to be a Premier League player.
  5. For .co.uk's standards that's pretty good.

  7. I assumed it was down to his general ineptitude as a manager.
  8. Blissful fantasy: Krul R.Taylor S.Taylor Coloccini Santon Marveaux Tiote Cabaye Gutierrez Ben Arfa Best Hard (or Pard) reality: Krul Simpson S.Taylor Coloccini R.Taylor Obertan Tiote Cabaye Gutierrez Lovenkrands Best (Shola Ameobi 62')
  9. Football Management with Steve Kean ranks alongside Youth Hostelling with Chris Eubank.
  10. it's so blatantly gonna be Best and Lovenkrands with a half-fit Shola ambling on to replace Best after an hour.
  11. League Two and Conference are of a very similar level these days. Good Conference teams tend to step up seamlessly and be good L2 teams aswell. Similarly, teams that are relegated from League Two very rarely go straight back up again. Can't remember the last time that happened.
  12. Worthington's a shit manager ffs, no wonder Shane can't be arsed to speak to him.

Gateshead won 0-1 at Ebbsfleet today - Jeff Henderson scored the winner on his debut!
  14. I actually started the Andy Carroll thread when Kinnear was in charge saying we should play him ahead of some of the others. Yes, that's right, I'm officially ITK.
  15. It wasn't that simple at the time though, a lot of people still had (unwarranted) faith that we had a top class player on our books that could pop up with a goal. I know his performances were terrible but Shearer clearly thought he could get the best out of him. There's a lot of hindsight bullshit going on with Owen and the relegation season imo - the other options weren't brilliant either and we weren't so aware that he had the heart of a pea at the time. Wrong as I'd have been I'd have generally put Owen in my first 11 and hoped I could get the best out of a player that was the best striker in the country not that long ago. In fairness, I was saying for a while before Shearer took over that we should be starting the likes of Carroll, Viduka, whatever instead of him purely because they'd contribute more to general play - games passed Owen by because our side just wasn't creating the chances, and on the odd occasion we did, he fluffed them (see Pompey and Boro at home). He was also very weak on the ball and his number of touches was minimal. I'd had enough of the little cunt by then, the Portsmouth miss was the absolute final straw for me.
