Betting suspended by a few sites for Allardyce to be the new boss.
-
The official site is fucking crap for being up to date, particularly with youth players tbf. They never even had articles that announced the arrival of Edmundsson, Moyo etc. I doubt we'll hear about that new lad from Lens on there either.
-
'Fringe player signs new deal' isn't exactly something they're going to make up to grab headlines, is it?
-
Excellent news!
-
Actually, scrap that. I've watched it ("Super Kevin Lisbie") and it's about four clips repeated for as many minutes, including a few where he actually misses half-chances. He looks as shit as he is
-
Youtube can do anything. There's a video somewhere that makes Kevin fucking Lisbie look prolific.

Have the English press not picked up on this yet?

The trouble is that Ronaldo thinks that just about anybody is better than Shola and Lovenkrands and seems to have completely blanked from his mind the entire season that the three of them spent in the same division where Lovenkrands got 13 in 19 starts (+10 sub), Shola got 10 in 11 starts (+7 sub) and Bothroyd managed 11 in a massive 43 starts (+0 sub). Fair enough if he's young but he'll be 30 by the end of next season and those are typical stats for him in the second tier. Bothroyd reverting to his typical career form and being unable to hit a barn door since Christmas has been one of the main reasons that they've failed to be promoted. That he's "far better" than those two, for all their faults in the Premier League, is a complete distortion of the facts. FWIW I very much doubt we're interested anyway. I agree with you on that like, just the Boyd point I thought was a bit off.
-
Boyd found some form when he moved to Notts Forest. Let's be honest, Boro were fucking dire this season bar the last 2 and a bit months.
-
He'll blatantly become their Shola in terms of derby day scoring. Campbell scores against us every fucking time.

If we got Bothroyd on a free and then a really good striker like Gamiero then I wouldn't be too against the deal.
-
Shame, I backed Allardyce at 16's yesterday. Hopefully he doesn't take it, although I think he will if offered.
-
Jelavic would walk into our current side. That's about it.

Alright, fine. We finished above the rest comfortably, we just finished above Stoke. We got 1 from 12 at home against those teams no matter which way you dress it up. Hughton's was a home game. Pardew's was an away game. We played the away game with no Tiote or Carroll and had a strikeforce of Lovenkrands, Best and Ranger (Shola's injury coming in the first 10 minutes = he doesn't count). Both Pardew and Hughton have got results against the top 6 sides. Pardew has had more games against them but without Carroll, and we've gained some creditable results. We also got these same credible results under Hughton.
-
Because people try to make out that his time here has been better than it actually has. No, people realise that Pardew has had marginally harder fixtures overall and a far weaker squad. Precisely whose decision it was to sell Carroll/for us not to sign anyone of note has nothing to do with it. In terms of pure 'results getting', Pardew has almost certainly done better than Hughton.
-
Hughton didn't have a chance of beating West Ham, Wolves or Birmingham at home as far as I can remember. He had a chance of beating Stoke, Wigan, Blackpool and Blackburn at home - teams we finished above quite comfortably. We got 1 point from 12, and even that was last-ditch.
-
He was partially to blame for being in the position of weakness by having a hand in us selling one of our most important players and bringing nothing in to add to what we had. I'm not even sure we've over achieved either, we've beat Wigan, West Ham, Birmingham x 2, Wolves and Liverpool. The Liverpool game was his first in charge and the players said it was for Hughton. Out of the 5 teams we've won against, 4 were in the bottom 5. What, the same bottom end teams Hughton didn't manage to beat at home?
-
Lovengoals Accrington Stanley Wolves West Brom x2 West Ham Birmingham Blackpool Quite a pattern.
-
Sullivan and Gold should get on the blower. He's better than Fat Cunt.
-
Nice that Owen scored, wasn't it? The little cunt slotted away a goal to crown a title winning season with alarming ease, bit of a shame that he couldn't be arsed to score that identical chance at home to Portsmouth to keep us up. The odious little fuck.
-
- We're a newly promoted side - They've spent loads of money - We were ahead of them until the last minute of the season - 5-1 - 6-2 on aggregate - 4 points plays 1 point - The difference between the two teams is 1 point Those are the facts. They finished above us, but if they'd had a truly successful season they'd be pushing for Europe. Brucey strikes again.
-
That contract he has, apparently money based upon league position? I have it on good authority that Pardew is currently on the phone to the local builders telling them to cancel to kitchen extension.
