My favourite away games that season were probably Peterborough and Cambridge, Barnsley was always a good day out but the result wasn't good and we usually did well against them. aye pterbrough was canny, barnsley my exhaust fell off the car on the way. millwall and grimsby were pretty good as they lasted about 3 days each. the oxford game at home on the tuesday, or thursday night after grimsby- was weird. only thing I can remember is that bloke and his keys. Freaky, but the only time I've had an exhaust fall off on me was on the way to... Barnsley away (90-91). Not sure what world the Mackems live in. Even in 90-91 (post play-off defeat) we would routinely take 7000-plus away anywhere remotely northern. Favourite pre KK awaydays: West Ham (1-8 defeat 86), Sheff Wed boxing day (86?), Spurs (cup fifth round 87), Man U (Mirandinha 2-2 87). was at them the spurs one been discussed a few times on here for the crush. Crazy day. Had our lot not forced their way into the two pens the two coppers wanted kept empty, people would have died. Unbelievable atmosphere. Spurs-supporting mate of mine was on their "Shelf" and reckoned the structure of the away end was swaying during the Blaydon Races. Hell on afterwards as well. Great fun for a 16-y-old!! remember Peter Jackson just standing watching the toon fans open mouthed in awe of what he was seeing.
  2. We would have a better chance if we tried to kill half their team by kicking the ball at them.

    Alan Pardew

Just because he speaks his mind doesn't make it worthwhile, he may be off the drink but he is a bitter bitter jealous man. That's fair enough, Skirge. My issue is with those calling him a pisshead, time after time again. Have to say in my first reaction/post I called him a pisshead but its not really anything to do with what he said. He may still be drinking I don't know but whenever I hear him on the radio or read his shit in the paper he always comes across as a player hater and I thik its to do with money. Moncur is the same not as bad but still always negative putting players down looking for issues where there aren't any. I may be wrong its just how I perceive him, just my opinion I know its criminal on here to have one of those. might be a little bit of envy of the money skirge- but I think these older generation players just dont like the whinging, diving, cheating, shit that goes on in the modern game- Cant blame them for that its fucking bullshit. They played at a time when they would have been chopped in half for some of that shit , and the ref would have looked away.

    Papiss Cissé

Never known as much difficulty in fitting two strikers into the team, its as if one of them doesnt want it to work.

assuming it was the week a season he could walk.

    Alan Pardew

bit unfair for people to focus on his drinking- if its believed he drank to self medicate the pain in his knee from footballing injury- once hed been operated - paid for by the players union? he gave up the drink. hadnt thought about what hes said- but Im certain ive picked on a vibe of disharmony- and thought it was down to Ba.

I missed one away game all season, Notts County. I was supposed to be going on the supporters buses but went out the night before and had far too much to drink and missed my bus. That was class notts county, filled that big end- toon supporters in full voice whole game. proper falling down the stands pissed aswell

never knew that stat, cant remember who we played? West ham? maybe- only missed bristol City at home that season the crowd was locked out by around 12-30. Beat Southend 3-2. 28,545 at that game and we beat that number quite a few times that season. http://www.nufc.com/html/1992-93.html ah, yeah did bracewell hit a cracking goal in taht one?

so they have never averaged 50 thousand?

    sunderland

they are doing this because we had 50 thousand yesterday- and away fans are more difficult to measure- find statistics about. they also bang on about pre 92 crowd bollox, but when you look at the 2o years before 92- we had higher averages, around 10k higher than them. and a few seasons in 70s and 80s we were 3rd best in country- even when in lower division. Summary-Mackems lie about crowds to feel better.
  16. honest answer- they like football- they like alcohol more
  17. Its got an unhappy rebel at the centre of the play disruption written all over it. ballooning shots all over cos his head is rammed with the shite thats going on. Cisses Anger no doublt linked to this, Got to be sorted one way or another-soon.
  18. I think he will last regardless. If we lose today a long hard relegation fight will be our season.

Just why? Its a Mackem passage of honour- that story will be on Smb, The March on tha Toon. he would have battered half a dozen blokes on his way down, and everysingle man in Newcastle would have hidden in shop doorways from him.
