Is theer another place on the planet that ,on a dialy basis, plucks a current player and one random good player from history with no link whatsoever to thier club or said player- then compares the two as if it matters.?

    Chris Waddle

seems to hate us- guess we only took him from the sausage factory and gave him chance in the game- epitomises the lack of any sort of loyalty and Integrity in modern footballers.

Don't Bramble's goals get transferred over like medals? go and ask on smb, they will say yes, and all thier other previous players,- they will tell you they have a better record in Europe than us.

I would very much like this stat as well. Think its 13 - 5 to the Big Sho at the current rate it will take over 100 years for SAFC to catch Shola

some of the bitterness on the smb in thier thread for our match last night is ridiculous. the number of threads, easily a few every day discussing the policing, travel of toon fans to derby, and all other derby stuff leads me to believe the biggest thing that ever happens in thier lives is the visit of Newcastle to Sunderland.

I played for a pub in north shields a couple of times . the refs job was to stop fights and keep some semblance of a football match moving- he was at his fucking whits end- like he had a spare second to keep starting and stopping a watch- half the time he wasnt even aware of where the ball was. add to this, theres no assistants, so he has to judge the offsides as well. So it's already completely different to the professional game then? i guess aye. I agree with the idea tbh. just think time keeping at sunday league level could be very difficult- as I say usually 1 official doing everything from crowd control to being his own assisiatnt.

could be done on the qiet. just a tiem keeper, radio controlled to ref... tells him when its ft. 'Hoy ref times up blow the whistle after this attack- or if man u are losing the next couple of attacks' If old man 40 can accept such a change, then all you kids should be able to embrace it. Fear of change for traditions sake holds the game back. And tbh, sticking to out-dated laws on the basis of tradition alone is about as American as you can get. Keeping players/managers in the dark about how long they have to affect the game? Eep. because it would be impossible to link the time keeper to the dugouts? And if the match was televised, people at home wouldn't know either? because it would be impossible to link the tv studio to the time keeper? A HAH! It's a trap. Someone watching on telly could call a cunt in the crowd and get the shitty countdown going. I'm only messing, but yeah, it's a pipedream hypothetical. Were it ever implemented on footballing grounds, the concern for NBA-style endings to games/shitty countdown chants would be negligible, so the 30-minute countdown would be fully transparent to all. implementing it at lower levels would be near impossible. so would we be willing to have 2 differing ways to time play- i doubt it.
