The current unity in the dressing room- is not by design of the ownership of the club- its a reaction to the lack of leadership. its not a vote of confidence, more a -' fuck you we will do it for ourselves' no credit for Ashley there im afraid. Don't disagree, but the reaction (on here especially) was that we would be up in arms at Ashley's latest cock-up and we should be considering withdrawing our support for the club while Ashley remains. The players are saying that they want to stay at the club under the current regime. They're not oblivious to how the fans interact and their feelings about Ashley - why isn't this influencing their comments/actions? Cant Imangine any Employee publicly siding with some disgruntled ccustomers, against thier employer.

what was the crowd?

After all the Money wasted down the years on big money attempts to find strikers, If we then went out and got rid of the best one we have produced ourselves- It wouldbe a total joke. Weve proved we cant do it buying- Ashley wants to run it on a tight budget- we simply cant afford to get rid of the talent we have.

Never went to Gillingham but did go to another game- during relegation season.Ipswich, it could have been the relegation from div1 tho cant remember. I used to work with an older guy then who would be in his 70s+ by now , who used to have season ticket at both clubs- even still he was adamant he was toon fan, and even took piss out of makems. but just loved going to matches. Personally I agree, its sad. My second team is any that are playing Sunderland- this is sad. I know this. They have given us years of entertainment as theyve gone from shit to worse and back again, time and again. Smb is one of the funniest websites on the whole internet. as for the 80s- it wasnt all that bad- at least we went out doors and played football , 12 hrs a day, we were fit and healthy, enjoyed the sunlight- see my av. you really didnt want to sit and fuck about with that thing all day.

not boro not man city, olnly wba can challenge safc on the yoyo claim
-
Too many to mention but I'd like too think we are an established club now under the guidance of Quinn and Short. it must be 5 or 6 or maybe more. I just can not fathom how posters on smb can call Newcastle after 1 relegation in 20 years a yoyo club when Safc have had 5 or 6 times as many relegations- im not sure any other club has been in and out the prem more?
-
change of subject like.. Wearside- can you tell me how many times Sunderland have been relegated in the last 20 years? genuine question.
-
I'd agree, their current position seems better than the way they're really playing. Good home form but they seem to draw and scrape a lot of 1-0's without being convincing. Mind I'd settle for a few unconvincing 1-0 wins. they are fortunate to be 6th, on account they played on a weekend that most clubs had thier games ccalled off. add to that the incredible luck they have had this season. yes they have a good chairman and owner- but its not good stuff they are playing- certainly not pretty (wearside). i belive the proof of how shit they are is reflected in the empty stands on tv.

I'll be doing an intensive course over a week so it's out of the way, usually they're done over a longer period though. so could you do them 1 day a week?
-
Yes and no. A week initial Course, then many weeks of logged coaching, with two or three 'top up' dates before the final assessment. They start at £100 and end up costing £1000+ logged coaching at your own club?- does the club have to be at a certain level?
-
so these badges take a week for each level? what do they cost?

if he had him here in 1985- we would have sacked him inside 2 years- while Man utd are looking forward to near 50 trophies- seems this is a hard leason for us to learn. legend imo. This is true. He never would have survived his torrid couple of years up here. True vision by the top brass not to press the red button in 89-90 when they could have a button sucessive regimes here have been unable to keep thier hands away from, like some sort of eject button twitch

watching this in German is weird sounds like they keep saluting the fuhrer.
