TBC. Don't really have a clue as it stands. By the time I've completed the course, I'm hoping to have built up some decent experience along with having my Level 1, Level 2 and UEFA B sewn up. Ideally, I'd like to have started my UEFA A by that point too, although I think I may have to wait until I've graduated before starting that. I'm also hoping to utilise a couple of contacts I have by spending a few months in Australia with an NRL team (rugby league) during their pre-season to assess the fitness methods that they use and how they could be implemented in football. On top of that, I'm considering learning Spanish whilst at Uni in order to head off to Spain for a couple of years to work with a club out there, even if it's at quite a low level. They're setting the benchmark on how to play football as far as I'm concerned so that's where I believe I can learn most. After that, I suppose it will just be a case of firing my CV off to anyone and everyone. I'd like to start at an Academy if possible and work my way through the ranks. My eventual aim is to get into management. I've heard good things in regards to coaching and Holland know a few lads who went to coach and play their. That's another place I'm keeping my eye on, along with Belgium. Spain is favourite at the moment though.

It sounded like a really obscure place which is what led me to believe it was that one. I was aware of the other three, wouldn't have known what part of Africa they were though!

Daft question, like I'm going to remember that. Mali - Is in West Africa (close-ish to Ghana) Mauritania - West Africa Malawi - East/Southern Africa Mozambique - East/Southern Africa Definitely wasn't Mali or Mozambique. Don't think it was Malawi either so I'm going to opt for Mauritania. Impressive knowledge of Africa or did you get your atlas out?

Yes and no. A week initial Course, then many weeks of logged coaching, with two or three 'top up' dates before the final assessment. They start at £100 and end up costing £1000+ logged coaching at your own club?- does the club have to be at a certain level? With anyone, as long as you've got session plans detailing the coaching session and how long they were. Can be with any level too. That reminds me, I may need to take you up on your offer of popping down to 'help' you out at Forest Hall. I'll talk to the parents next time I see them (probably not to New Year), just to give them a heads up this burly Hull bloke might help out. Cheers mate. I won't be back until mid-January anyway.

I'll be doing an intensive course over a week so it's out of the way, usually they're done over a longer period though. so could you do them 1 day a week? As far as I know, they have to be done on the dates set. This is the one I'm doing: http://eventspace.thefa.com/northumberlandfa/participant/arrangement.aspx?id=26092 Another one, for example, is set out like this: http://eventspace.thefa.com/northumberlandfa/participant/arrangement.aspx?id=26089

Lucky you! I'm going to wait for my loan to come through in early January and pay for it with that I reckon. Going to do it all in one go when I book my Level 1.

I'm sure it's true. Think he said he'd played against Michael Essien. Well, he said he'd played against Ghana anyway.

1st Year. I'm a mature student. Thought I was going to be the oldest, but this other guy sometimes shows up with his International Football Caps.
  13. How can ppl judge that players are worth keeping/key players based on a couple of games is ridiculous. surely it's just the same as judging players when they are at other clubs ? Players play differently at different clubs. I never try to judge players on the 1st 6 months they are at a club playing (unless they are utter garbage). The biggest factor is that ppl are willing to sign Ben Arfa after a major injury despite NUFC's history with signing players with injury record. The guy has got to play for 3 months properly for me to see whether he would be worth signing. You said Perch was shit after the Everton game, five games into his Newcastle career. Make your mind up. Read my fucking post, unless they are utter garbage. Which Perch is. So you made that judgement after five games? Why can't that work the opposite way then, if they're class for five games for example? Or does it just take you six months to decide if somebody is good as opposed to a few games to decide if someone is shit?

  15. Barton. Ben Arfa has done hardly nothing apart from that everton match & we don't know the impact of the injury will be on him. Jesus fucking Christ. Well, what has he done then? Because i think you'll fucking have no evidence apart from the goal against everton. That was one of two, yes two, games he's played in that he's had significant minutes on the pitch ffs. Barely played against Blackpool and the same obviously goes for the Man City game. By the way, we're not the only club Ben Arfa has ever played for, so although Ben Arfa has "done hardly nothing [sic]" for us, he's certainly done a lot of good things during his career so far.

Tempted to do it anyway to be honest, just for the experience and to pick up a few extra things. Just noticed this on the Level 2 entry requirements too: • Hold the Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football with additional 16 hours logged coaching
  18. It was confirmed by his agent that West Ham had made a bid. Which was rejected.

Cheers Chris. Going by that, I think I'll be starting mine in 2012, providing I pass my Level 2 (planning on doing it with yourself and Joel in March ). Doing my Level 1 over a week February so I'm hoping they won't have a problem with me starting the Level 2 in March.

    Alan Pardew

Seems as though he's identified who he wants to bring in as assistant anyway, interesting choice. Hope it gets resolved one way or the other soon so the coaching staff is pretty much complete.
  22. Yup. Another one that needs booing on Boxing Day.
  23. Wes Brown has had the same problem his whole career. Baked beans go mouldy, not rusty.
  24. FAO Man City fans: Unsurprisingly, for a handball to be given, the ball actually has to hit a hand. Bellends.
