  1. Gosling won't be ready to start a game. Vuckic, Inman, Moyo? I don't see what the issue is? Those 3 would cost us the game IMO. Playing boys with no experience generally doesnt help you win games. Ok, we'll play Alan Smith instead, he has plenty of experience. There's nothing wrong with blooding youngsters in a game like this, as long as there is a good balance of experience to help them out. We're playing Stevenage ffs. Well that would be silly, he's knacked. Theres no youth/experience balance to that team though - it's practically all kids with one or 2 with experience hoyed in. I didn't say I agreed with the team selected, only highlighted there'd be nothing wrong if those three played, provided the team around them was going to be beneficial to them and enable us to win the game.
  2. idle question and not really accusing you or anything but where the hell do these "itks" come from I like the way they all appear to be rated too.

  7. Off Carroll, ala Crouch-VdV.
  8. You're actually not far wrong to be honest. That's the bit that tickled me the most though.
  9. Well it certainly isn't Coloccini because he was playing superbly well last season too. I believe last season did encompass half of 2010. He was playing well for half of 2009 too.

  11. He may well be, won't mean much though if the opposition send every attack down our left hand side because Taarabt's playing on the left wing.
  12. Taarabt is brilliant at picking the ball up deep and running at players. He'd be useful on either flank, imo. You're right on the first point but I don't think he'd work well on the wing. He doesn't work hard enough and would leave us short when we're defending.
  13. That would be a great idea. There'd be so much balance to the side with Taarabt on the left wing.
  14. Eh? Jonas, not Ash. Why would signing Taarabt mean the end of Jonas/him out of the side? Because i'm an optimist. Surely it'd be better to sign a left winger to play on the left wing if you want him out of the side so badly? Clearly, but the article links Taarabt. Which is exactly my point.

  17. On second thoughts, I didn't add 'like' onto the end when I was having a go at him. One thing he did in the second half really sent me potty though. He twice gave the ball away in Wigan's half and they broke away down our right hand side. Instead of busting a bollock to get back to make up for his error, he just jogged back with no urgency to recover. Reminded me of Nicky Butt in our relegation season when he'd get back into position at his own pace.
  18. I bet that was me and Rey. Didn't hear you reply though, so may not have been us.
  19. You need to think harder. I'd be interested to hear this...
  20. Yep, thought he was our worst player today. Made a couple of decent tackles but backed off far too much again and was caught out of position a couple of times.
