Inman? And as for the team selection... Let's just say I'm glad we don't have you as manager. What's that bad about it? It's not like I've dropped our top goalscorer, now that would be stupid. And as Mick said, we have very little through the middle so having Inman on the bench, even if it's just for the experience, isn't a bad option. The other options are likely to be Geremi or Donaldson.

Was just about to say exactly the same thing myself.

Correct. Plus if he doesn't start, it's pointless having him on the bench.

Harper R.Taylor - S.Taylor - Coloccini - Enrique Guthrie - Nolan - Smith - Jonas Carroll - Ameobi Subs: Krul, Kadar, Pancrate, Inman, LuaLua, Lovenkrands, Ranger

When I first read his post I thought of a joke with the same intention, but it doesn't get simpler or better than how you put it. Well done. It'd only be funny of they didn't keep getting linked in the papers tbh. I think you're missing the joke - it's probably lost in translation. The joke is that they're "transfers" that in your opinion are never going to happen, and hence aren't proper for a thread entitled "Realistic Transfer Targets January 2010". It's a bad one, though. Which is my point. I think you should take cubaricho's advice, definitely lost in translation.

based on? Shearer made the players eat together while he was here, so Kevin was obviously pissed he couldn't pop out for a Burger King.

And some people have had a go at Guthrie all season...
-
I remember earlier on in the season when I got Enrique on the back of my shirt, the guy behind the counter asked me why I was getting Enrique on my shirt because he's "rubbish" and whole load of other crap. I should remind him what he said, he'd feel like a right twat.

Not hard to see why they don't at the minute...

I have a team, not that I've watched much RL from them over the last couple of seasons. Guessing you just like watching or do you follow a team? I like watching it most of my favorite players come from the great Wigan teams pre-super league. I wish could bet against a try being given every time Stevo says "Its T-R-Y time...100% for me". He's okay is Stevo, met him a few times and he knows his stuff. He also knows how he comes across on TV but that's his job. Eddie is a lot worse than Stevo in my eyes, he really is clueless.

No I do. I do miss Friday night RL games. And me. I'm probably the biggest rugby league fan on here and I can honestly say I've not heard the superiority thing from any fans I know. The 'public school boy' thing is mainly to do with Union. Never really understood the argument about footballers being soft either. In comparison to rugby players, they are, but that's because rugby players train for years to get into the mental and physical condition to be able to take the hits whereas footballers don't.

He seems to have fantastic recovery pace though, so I'd take the gamble of him being our starter. Fantastic? I actually think he's pretty slow, he hardly seems to move even when it's apparent he's running as quickly as he can. I sometimes think you just like disagreeing with me. He caught Jermaine Johnson, who is one of the fastest players I've seen at SJP this season. Not at all. Our opinions sometimes differ and this is one of those occasions.

I don't think they'd need to, to be honest.
-
Should stick in a cheeky loan bid for them in January.
-
Sorry, but not a chance.
-
The same Carr that is having a good season for Birmingham in the Premier League? As much as I don't like Carr, on ability alone, I'd take him over Simpson every time.
-
Nay. Would maybe consider signing him as a backup RB in the summer if he'd be free but wouldn't pay a penny for him in January.

Somewhere in Hull, Phil Brown's spidey sense is tingling. He lives in Bolton. I know, I just imagine he spends his spare time wandering aimlessly around Hull looking for people to save. I imagine he doesn't get out too much apart from wandering across the Humber Bridge with the Hull squad, not to mention the time he spends in TanFastic.

Really poor. He had fuck all to do! His kicking was dreadful mind, time after time kicking it to the left when both forwards were towards the right. I expect that of him now to be honest - it's the weakest part of his game in my opinion.
