Bit gutting, really. I don't have faith in our attack, although no side has underachieved more than us since the World Cup..... 6 goals but an xG of 13.11.

At HT, I was feeling bitter because of the ref and because Man Utd weren't even playing well. But by FT it was clear that we didn't deserve it. A complete inability to score goals or even come up with a shot when chasing the game. Oh well, love 'em anyway. Onto next time.

But gutted tbh. * Complication between splitting 3 bar tickets between me, my brother and our girlfriends. You can't pick gf over the other but neither wants to pull out..... tempted to do a 'hail mary' by trying to walk into some bars tomorrow.

No chance I'll be watching at home - this isn't Burnley (H), it's a cup final. Assuming that a few big screens will be around town, I think I'd rather be there than London - although travelling down there for work is a regular occurrence. No chance of a ticket, except perhaps through work colleagues. Fingers crossed.

Back in a cup final, man. I'm still just gobsmacked. I was too young to realise the rarity of them in '98 and '99, before the Ashley years, so this one just feels like absolutely everything. OK, it's only the League Cup. And OK, we're underdogs for this final. But life is about love, emotions and experiences and I cannot wait to passionately go through all three on Sunday 26th February. We're actually in a motherfucking cup final. Newcastle United. Holy shit

Stress, deadlines, taking up weekends etc. Found a lot of the early weeks mind-numbingly boring too.

Know there's a long way to go but I'm still convinced they're going up. Jammy twats, as always.

These unlimited free transfers hopefully went OK, was a chance to sort things out and lock in a long-term defence. It's now only really missing De Bruyne and Kane but you can't have 'em all!

I've wanted Argentina to win all along (fuck England) but haven't really considered a scenario where France lose this.
