Can totally see Liverpool winning all remaining games, where suddenly we'll need 6 points from a tricky set of games. Just got to hope that Brentford/Villa get them to drop a couple of points.
-
Boro v Coventry on the final day will be a mindfuck because they're likely to face each other in the play-offs straight after. Does either manager even attempt to give clues away?
-
That point probably gets them the play-offs, bastards. Obviously they'll beat Preston, which then needs Coventry to win at Boro and a Millwall win. Twats.
-
No, they're pretty sure it's Real Madrid.
-
Opta decided that Wilson was Isak's intended target, not Murphy. A controversial way to decide assists when you see Kane's a few minutes later.
-
The way that Millwall, Blackburn, Norwich, West Brom, Preston and Watford have all collapsed at the same time, conveniently gifting the mackems a play-off spot, is beyond freakish. Every result you don't want to happen keeps happening, it's quite remarkable.

4th: Newcastle (68) 5th: Liverpool (67) 6th: Brighton (66) 7th: Tottenham (62)

There was a story about Burnley being suspected of match-fixing match against Reading. Well, honestly, it feels like the whole bloody division is conspiring to get these lot promoted. They're all so shite, all drawing with each other, coming up with an improbable combination of results that keeps benefitting the mackems. When they went 1-0 down today, they were obviously going to win because that's how it keeps going. Just hope Boro can stop them tbh.

I hate being confident, like We shouldn't expect to beat Spurs but there's a good vibe about it - if anything, last week's defeat adds more confidence that there'll be an apologetic performance in a partisan atmosphere. Man, what a massive match.
-
They're all so bad. Don't think I've ever checked the score to see a Blackburn win - yet they're seventh?!?!? Even if mackems lose to WBA, they'll beat Watford and Preston. Easily.
-
Spend all week writing about Free Hit for work, only to - incredibly - get a big red arrow from it. Bit shell-shocked.
-
In fairness, this has us lose (HA!) at Chelsea on the final day while some of the others won. So it would've been sealed by match 37.
-
Did a little predictor: 4) Newcastle - 67 5) Brighton - 66 6) Liverpool - 65 7) Spurs - 65 8) Aston Villa - 61 Finishing top four would mean everything, as I don't think we can bank on Liverpool and Chelsea having another mare at the same time. It needs to happen this season.
-
That Coventry equaliser is annoying. Although hopefully they beat Reading and Preston v Blackburn has a winner.
-
Yeah, I'd back them. Everyone else looks shite.
-
It's us or Brighton.
-
Spent the whole week petrified of this match. Don't even get the joy from being right Simply put, we were diabolical. Worst for a long, long time.
-
Since Emery took over on November 1st, they're 3rd in the league.
-
Will happily take a draw, thank you
-
I've assumed we'll lose at Villa and grab no more than a point vs Spurs. If we can get at least 2 points from those, I think we'll be almost there.
-
Aye, can see them sneaking into the playoffs now. It just all seems so jammy And, of course, once there it can be anyone's victory.
-
My predictor still has us finishing joint with Spurs and 1pt behind Liverpool but thats with Spurs beating us. Avoid defeat vs them and I'll start to be confident. Brentford and Villa are two bloody hard away games before then, though. Will take 2pts.

Going down as one of the great days, I think. In this era of too much screen time and every TV series being binged in a few nights, I find it pretty easy to forget our very good moments and quickly move on. It's a real shame, actually. Not forgetting this one though. Beating - hell, dominating - Man United to sit third in April. The atmosphere was frightening, the players are loveable and our manager is an actual God. Fucking hell yes. Loved today so much.
-
Still my favourite player, still our most important one (in my opinion) so it was great to see him today. He had them terrified.

Mac Allister and Shaw in. Bench Boost time.
