I admire your loyalty and there's some good points there. But no, Pardew has to go in my opinion. I don't think he offers anything and is becoming a hindrance, the only reason to keep him is so we don't get Kinnear again.
-
The problem is, I don't think he does realise it.

This is about the only thing keeping me sane right now This

Well that's pretty much the only team we CAN play. Let's just close the thread now! -

With Pardew in charge, there's always the potential for defeat. Hopefully this one will be the final straw for Ashley.... Krul Debuchy S Taylor Coloccini Santon Bigirimana Anita Marveaux Cabaye Obertan Cisse .....which is more than good enough to win but no doubt we won't. -
I managed to turn the channel over before he came on. Can't even look at him anymore.
-
Tactically inept, can't motivate our players, can't win from going behind, abysmal set pieces....what exactly does Pardew offer? Not being Joe Kinnear? That's nowhere near good enough. He has no redeeming factors for me.
-
On the surface, I'm fine with going out of the cup. Quite frankly, it's an irritant right now - a fixture that we had to fulfil. But the manner of defeat and the performance were beyond pathetic and it all leads back to one man - Pardew. He has to go, and soon.
-
Pretty pathetic that you actually want our fans to turn on our manager mate. What exactly is the benefit of that? Erm....he leaves or gets sacked?
-
Positives from this match: - No injuries - Shola suspended - Hopefully the fans turn on Pardew
-
Aye, 2-0. May as well.
-
Makes sense tbh. Whatever gets Shola off the pitch has to be a positive.
-
I genuinely despise him. Can't bear to look at the twat, not after what he's done to our club.
-
Just blow for full time, ref. I've got an afternoon of doing nothing I need to get on with. I dont find this embarassing, humiliating etc.....what did you expect? This was always just a friendly to us, a fixture that had to be fulfilled.
-
So he's suspended for Norwich? Cisse playing central with no lumps of nothingness forcing him wide? Good news.
-
The travelling fans had to expect this though, this is a surprise to nobody.
-
If football was a standing still sport, he'd be fine. Unfortunately, its the movement that confuses him. He's a non-entity these days. Yet he's leading our line today? Fuuuucking hell, man.
-
Ranger & Dummett? Ah, that'll do it.
-
Bramble was leagues ahead of Willo. Mike is a pathetic joke of a footballer, never mind at our level.
-
This is dull but not too bothered tbh. Our teamsheet showed our intentions....lets just get home without more injuries and go for the cup next year. Sammy Bambiobi has been particularly shit, again.
-
Happy-ish with the team, don't mind going out of this.
-
Haven't several people claimed to be Douglas' agent too? After Ba, that probably scared us off completely.
-
Probably just: - Pardew is interested in the player - Player is 'said to be keen' on move - Club aren't willing to go past their valuation - Several teams monitoring the situation - Something that won't be resolved anytime soon - Club have drawn up a list of alternatives like [random Frenchie A] and [random Frenchie B]

Players get so rich now that when they retire they don't need management, it's far easier to play golf or work for the plethora of TV channels. Then there'll be a massive world shortage of managers, not enough to go around. To solve this, managers start to take control of multiple teams at once - just like on old FM games. But us? Nah, we'll send out the Shola signal. Although seriously, I can imagine Harper, Nolan & Lovenkrands going into management.
