Thought Coloccini was good at Depor? And how is Guardado doing there? I'd love him to be our next 'victim' (except with good performances!)...
  4. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/8493397.stm Just like with the lad who attacked Chris Holland I really love it how they print the addresses of these people. I've got 15 mutual friends with him on Facebook. Another national celebrity to go with that Jen Clark from BB for our 'noble' town. what about the girl from our school that threw the big "skins" party?
  5. I've often wondered this myself; at the end of the day its a field, a ball and 22 players....there should be no difference. Psychology definitely plays a role though. At home you're surrounded by familiarity (family, house etc) and expectant fans, whereas away you're on the receiving end of that. But thats why the top teams are where they are....they're above such psychology and acknowledge that nothing should really change.
  6. I'd extend van Aanholt, but apart from that our squad is very large and more players simply aren't needed. If its possible to loan out Vuckic, Lua Lua etc then that'd be beneficial
  7. i'm thinking about suing the two clubs. aren't there some illegal torture laws??
  8. ahhh youtube....the club's chief scout during the wise era. on a low wage too
  9. i don't see how this window can't be considered good. our expectations were pretty low (just don't sell anyone good and get a few loans) and we ended up with some very good players and great depth (to the point where our squad is now too big). papa geremi has gone, so we've actually saved wages. there were occasional disappointments like moses and beckford, but the idea of getting moses was crazy before the weekend. so all in all, its been a very very good window and hopefully enough to get us promoted.
  10. This but i'd rather see Simpson start than Ryan Taylor and think that Fitz Hall and Shola will probably make the bench ahead of Kadar and maybe Pancrate? Also you can't seriously be suggesting that Nicky Butt wont get into our 18?!! will shola be back? also, with hughton's over-protective attitude i don't think simpson will start. you're right, butt probably will get in the 18, but we have such a massive squad now that i'm hoping hughton sees sense.
  11. I'm very nervous about this match. Cardiff are the Jekyll and Hyde team of this division and I see them revelling in the occasion. In fact, I actually think we'll lose this one. 0-1 harper r taylor williamson coloccini van aanholt routledge nolan smith jonas best lovenkrands bench: krul, kadar, simpson, guthrie, pancrate, carroll, ranger (although i'd rather guthrie and ranger start)
  12. I won't believe we've bought him until .cock has him outside the training ground wearing a club jumper. Until then it's just hearsay.....
  13. Very underwhelmed by this signing, as I was hoping for a Premierhsip loanee. But he isn't THAT bad and he could just be a late bloomer. We need pace in the team and is full of confidence after a good season so far. So for less than a million, if he scores the vital goal to get promotion, it'll be worth it. On the other hand, the contract is too long and I believe we could have done a lot better. Shame.

The Facebook of 'Danny Simpson': Need to put 1 thing straight at training the other day i left my twitter account signed on while i left to get a drink and ryan donaldson thought it would be funny to put some stuff on there which has affected some of you aye, brilliant excuse
  15. Not that I watch Egyptian football, but that Al-Muhammadi is meant to be really good. But I can't see him being a success at Sunder-landfill
  16. Capello is his own man and won't be swayed by anybody. And football is the 11 players most capable of winning, not the 11 nicest most honourable people in England. However, if the England squad have lost faith in their captain, then a democratic vote is the best solution. He should lose the captaincy, but not his place in the team.
  17. gutted. and frustrating to see such a talent go to such a nothing club.
  18. just match the bid and see what happens. the deal can still be hijacked. if we were willing to bid £2m, i don't see the problem with £2.5m.
  19. Look what sad little me made http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/9436/mysadgraph.png Average 1st place: 94.2 Average 2nd place: 87.2 Average 3rd place: 82.4 Conclusions? Going from the last 10 seasons, 83 points is usually enough to finish above 3rd and hence get promoted. Playing it safe (say, 86 points) means we need 30 points from 19 games....8 wins, 6 draws, 5 defeats. I'd be very confident about reaching that (despite recent performances). All it needs is a similar 5 or 6 game streak to November/December and we're nearly there. Also, the trend suggests less points are needed each year, probably due to the teams being of more equal ability.
  20. Until it's confirmed, I'd say we've still got a shot tbh. With the administration, its highest bid wins so we know exactly what to do. And given a straight choice, I genuinely believe he's pick us over Wigan. But if we miss out, I'll be sad but not too gutted. Three days ago, the idea of signing Victor Moses was ludicrous and us being in pole position was just a lovely bonus.
