  1. Another good shift today. If it weren't for Carroll, he'd be my most-improved player so far. What I thought was a stop-gap in the Championship has become a solid PL RB. Good job, lad.
  2. Yep, exciting as owt! Would be nothing better than sacking our second manager of the season after 2 games and facing another period of unrest as we wonder which relic will next get a shot at us. Maybe Jol's reconsidered? :colo: Could you imagine, though? I mean, it would single-handedly prove to the world that Mike Ashley is a certified lunatic. You'd have to stop and laugh at the sheer insanity of it all. Alas, life goes on. Of course mate. If we actually hit that point tonight and this was true, it'd have to be a 'you have to laugh or you'd cry' moment. If we didn't I think half of the Newcastle fans in the world would f***ing top themselves

  4. Whilst I don't dagree with a lot of what Quakes said, my word, that Taylor description is perfect. "Like watching 4 individual defenders who have never met each other." He the defence's organisational equivalent of Mike Ashley, just fucking everyone else up.
  5. Got excited there for a second.
  6. Can only remember one chant of YFCBGOOOC. Pretty pitiful we all just accept getting shat on.
  7. He is cover for Ben Arfa, though. He's decent cover. It's De Jong's fault we've had to rely on him so heavily.
  8. Except when he's missing from three yards out. That was not as easy a chance as everyone's making it out to be. Carroll's header near the start was much easier.
  9. Taylor doesn't compliment Colo as well as Williamson does. Disagree to a point, Taylor offers all the physicality Williamson does and is quicker. However Taylor is a more aggressive defender than Williamson and will get drawn further up the pitch than where Colo likes to sit. This is evident in the third goal where Colo keeps Tevez onside, but it was probably the right line for the Cb's to be playing in that instance. They haven't had anywhere near the time, game time or training time as Colo and Willo to build an understanding. I firmly believe Taylor is a more talented individual than Williamson and therfore the partnership has more potential but whether the partnership will work well enough to be a top 10 defense in the premier league is yet to be seen. They had at least half a season together in the 08/09 season. Can't say that went very well either.
  10. Was pretty good today, I felt.
  11. Needs to learn how to cross the ball more effectively though. He put it right on Carroll's head at least 4 times. Floated a glorious ball onto Carroll's head in the first ten mins that Carroll really ought to have put away.
  12. Krul Simpson Williamson Coloccini Enrique Routledge Barton Tiote Jonas Ranger Carroll Picks itself. Can't wait to see what we actually get...
  13. He was at fault for the third. But there were two or three occasions where we were lucky not to concede because of him. Backing off Tevez FFS.
  14. Oh, yay. We didn't get hammered. We just got beaten convincingly. Yay. Pardew! Woo! Brb, just gonna wank Ashley off.
  15. Same as first half. Dominating territory and possession. No final product.
