  1. And, in fairness, on pretty much every occasion this summer.
  2. Typical we get bought by the ones who can’t even sportswash properly.
  3. Probably because you haven’t seen them play in that Man Utd team yet. I’d take all of them too, as it stands, but I think you drop them into that Man Utd environment and they’ll look shadows of what they signed within six months. I also think plenty of those players I listed would look better if removed from the Man Utd environment, fwiw.
  4. This. Their defence (and keepers) are really horrific. And their midfield was largely bypassed last season. They just aren’t a good football team, and I think the whole is less than the sum of its parts. There’s an Ashley-era malaise over that club, in my opinion.
  5. Sorry, I just don’t agree. They’ve had the following strikers on their books in the last two seasons, and not managed to get a tune out of any of them, really. Hojlund Garnacho Zirkzee Diallo Sancho Rashford Antony Martial I don’t think Cunha and Mbuemo are going to look vastly superior in that team to their Wolves days, and I don’t think it’s enough to turn the ship around. We’ll see. Knowing my luck they’ll have the league sewn up by Christmas.
  6. Unless we go all season with Osula as our only striker, I don’t believe they’ll finish above us. They are dreadful under Amorim, and every year it’s the same story about how X, Y and Z are the signings to revitalise the mighty Manchester United. It won’t happen, the malaise at the club is deep, in my opinion. Like when we went down with Wijnaldum, Sissoko, Coloccini, Krul, Santon, Thauvin, Mitrovic etc.
  7. I’m pretty much at the stage where I’m about to drown myself in a river filled with burning pictures of Isak, Carroll and Cole. And I don’t believe Man Utd have a hope in hell of finishing above us, tbh.
  8. Incredibly, his GPG in the Bundesliga was better than
  9. Ngl, it's particular depressing atm.
  10. (Ten minutes later, Sky Sports News) Newcastle United have announced that they have parted ways with head coach Eddie Howe, with the Englishman expected to take up position as the new manager at Manchester United. Newcastle are believed to be monitoring the availability of Dominic Calvert Lewin to take over as their new head coach before the start of the season, although Liverpool have expressed an interest in signing the former Everton forward to carry drinks onto the pitch. It is widely believed that Calvert Lewin only wants Liverpool. --- Just the way this summer is going.
  11. Chelsea - Pedro, Delap Man City - Trafford Liverpool - Ekitke Man U - Mbuemo, Cunha, Sesko? Have I missed any? Obviously with Liverpool swooping in for Isak as well.
  12. Jamie Reuben was supposedly working on this personally, I'm sure I read?
  13. £1bn if you include future cost of transfers they've made already, apparently.
  14. It's for the good of football, don't you know?
  15. I'm not usually one for conspiracy theories, but the way one of the cartel clubs have leapt on each one of our targets as soon as we might have a chance of signing them is slightly weird.
  16. He won't stay if we sign proper replacements. In this window, that hasn't looked particularly likely. If he stays, I suspect it'll be due to incoming transfer incompetence on our part.
  17. He's Slovakian. So probably a bad idea, really.
  18. I need to see this response. Possibly an invitation to a Saudi embassy to discuss further.
