  1. I'm not serene at all, and of course you are right. It's just a matter of priorities. We'll all still be here supporting the club no matter who we sign or don't sign. Why is it so hard to understand that having been through the same charade with the current ownership - their posturing, penny pinching antics etc. - that one can get numb to it after a while? Naturally I want what's best for the club, and unfortunately the current owner isn't it. I've grown to get the feeling that the transfer windows are there largely to help the press get clicks and audiences as fans clamour over their clubs' next signings. In our case, some windows we do decent business in, and others we do none. This time last year was a pleasant surprise for example. Case of expect the worst and hope for the best.
  2. Really? It's not difficult. People strive for better in all walks of life why should they aim for or accept less from their football club? It's not like there's anything I can personally do about it, so why get myself frustrated over something I can't control? I suppose I could pray for new signings, except I'm not religious.
  3. Got to the stage where I don't understand why people get their knickers in a twist about transfers. All I'm bothered about is watching and supporting whoever turns up in the shirt on the day. It's the only way to stay sane. (And then lose it when pards subs Anita off for Cisse or Obertan).
  4. Agree. It was clearly done tongue in cheek, and wasn't that bad at all tbh. Even Pardew wasn't so bad.
  5. As long as live television is around, football will never again be fixed. The masses are far too addicted to the damn thing. It isn't about the sport anymore. It's about "glory" and celebrity. Entertainment for the sake of entertainment. Football has followed Big production Hollywood. Not much need for a real "storyline" so long as it buzzes and beeps big effects and colours.
  6. Thought the same when I saw that. Only difference may have been that Debuchy made the tackle head on, while Rafael came in sideways?
  7. No way! They were shouting for handball on Guzan.
  8. Suarez and the hand wave to the bench He did take one to the ear tbf, but he's still a cretin.
  9. Superb result. Match should have been wrapped up by half time. I nearly threw a fit when Ameobi came on, but he wasn't THAT bad tbh. He put a calm foot over the ball a few times and got the play going. Still nowhere near enough, as he's just a woeful footballer. Cabaye was the best player on the pitch, but yet again our shape goes to shit as soon as Anita comes off. I really can't recall any time this season when he's been on the pitch and we'd been pressed back into our own half. Maybe for little spells, but that midfield trio works together so well, and Anita is absolutely key. Hopefully we'll get a run going now as our next two matches should be piss easy
  10. I'd go for the former. Mignolet has been a bit floppy of late, and AJ is inconsistent.
  11. 37 from 5. Captain Aguero with a great little cameo. Suarez, Welbeck, Chiriches, Terry, Erisken and Coleman to go.
  12. Shades of Rob Lee at home to Liverpool.
  13. Not at all the line up I would have liked to see, but I'd like to think we have enough to beat this rabble. The team they're putting out is shocking.
  14. I hope we do. If we lose he might play Ben Arfa next game. Results don't really matter for the rest of the season and I want excitement which only Ben Arfa can bring
  15. Because it's f***ing s***. What's he even trying to do with his hand across his face, stupid little c***! As punchable if not more so a face than Larsson's.
