Just been on twitter. Not sure if that's what the ref has said though....
The pace at which the ball traveled at, coming through the defenders, would have given Hart absolutely no chance of saving it. He didn't see it till late, and that had nowt to do with Gouffran.

Football all over the globe is riddled with corruption, and has been for many many years. What we've seen today is one of the many facets of this corruption.
-
MOTM.
That is all.

Bringing Cisse on for Anita was basically his only mistake today.
He's not at fault for that defeat.
It was a HUGE mistake though, and undid all the good work we had done all game long. City were barely a threat after they scored. We had the ball, the momentum and the crowd were well fired up until that sub. Killed the game with 20 minutes left.

Not sure what he was expected to do?
He was the wrong man to bring on.

Completely failed to capitalise on a Man City side who stopped playing after 25 minutes. Tiote goal aside, he should have made an attacking change (Ben Arfa for Gouffran/Sissoko) far earlier in the 2nd half and taking Anita off was f***ing sackless.
We'll never get a better chance to get a result against this City side.
Thats massively assuming that the formation & players he'd chosen werent the specific reason for Man City playing at that level.
I wish he would have forgotten we were playing Man City for once, and just gone for it regardless of the opposition. I was very impressed with our response to their goal particularly with our shape and defending. Anita was the outstanding man of the match by a long long mile, including MC's players. Taking him off was a cardinal sin, especially as he wasn't on a yellow, and didn't look like running out of steam. To the contrary, he was growing in stature in the final third.

Monumental fuck up taking Anita off for Cisse. Regardless of how well the team played for the 70 minutes prior. He went and fucked it all up with that change. Also, Ben Arfa should have come on the minute Toure went off injured, as City became more vulnerable through the middle. Heart breaking how stupid this cunt is.
-
Also Anita is the only one of our center mids not on a yellow card. Stupid taking him off.
-
Anita is a little fucking genius. and as soon as I say that he takes him off. Fucks sake

For the goal, the only CB that tried to do anything was Saylor, yet he is the one that seems to be getting most the blame?
Despite Willo should have stopped the ball anyway.
true, but I reckon he was slightly flat footed and didn't expect the cross coming in when it did. Great goal it was anyway.

33 pts with Szczesny, Sissoko, Cabaye, Henderson and Suarez to play. Terry, Coleman, Lallana, and Lukapoo © with more than 2 points.

Just seen the pen again, Altidore actually jumps up in the air. Absolute joke
Not much else he can do being an absolutely dogshit footballer.
-
giggs has scored
-
He's like a mixture of Loic Remy and Yohan Cabaye.
With a bit of Adam Campbell and Vurn Anita as well.

Too many fannies in this thread. It's NUFC. It's the 3rd round of the cup. Get yourself up for it and man up ffs. Who cares who the owner is and which bellend is in the dugout. The shirt plays today, and the shirt will win.
I'm off to work. Howay!

Good question, which would you choose in their situation?
Since when was football a choice? You can try and win both.
Naturally. But I reckon we ask ourselves this question with hindsight in mind. Which would you rather have focused on and won? etc..

Get through manupstairs?
haven't a clue. doesn't say anything anywhere. just has the scores tied at 48. no asterisk, no highlight, nothing.
-
Who scored the most goals, who conceded the least goals, virtual toin coss - in that order.
Individual players? Or the whole team? By my count we've scored the same amount, but my team conceded 4 fewer goals. Guess I'll find out soon enough.
-
48 points. Not bad considering.
Incidentally, I've ended up drawing my cup tie. What happens in this case, anyone know?
-
Don't think I've ever seen him head the ball. Ever. You'd think a player his size and strength would be more of an attacking threat for us if he put himself about more in the box.
-
in some ways I'd rather we'd got beat easily than come away knowing we should have got something but didn't.
arsenal, as usual came blasting from the blocks for the first 15 or so, as the game went on they became more ragged, more displaced passes, more frustration and we looked stronger as it was going on. we should have had a free kick, they get one 10secs later and score, soft one from our point of view. bringing ben arfa on then was right, didn't agree with shola but could undewrstand it, didn't understand bringing on haidara at all.
we are a good team, we deserve to be where we are, lets see if we can stay there.
What, 8th?
I don't disagree with you - with the exception of maybe Spurs, I think all the teams above us deserve to be above us. I want us to push on much, much further though.
Size of our collective cock, financial flab and all that

4th placed finish. Got to be optimistic man. Got to be.
-
45 pts. Walcott ©, Coleman, Szeczny, and Suarez with anything above 2. Won my cup tie, rubbish otherwise.
Vurnon Anita (now playing for RKC Waalwijk)

In my opinion he's a lot more than that. Today he absolutely bossed the midfield. On this form, he's extremely difficult to play against if you're an opposition midfielder. His reading of the game is unreal.
