  1. Hate everything about this pig sty club. I detest Martinez. He's a fucking two faced piece of shit imo. Fuck him and the shite football his teams play. Jammiest set of cum guzzling inbreds I've ever seen.

*sigh STILL don't feel any better  :(

  2. God the atmosphere is awful. Poor game, to think these two will be our Europa league representatives next year.

Swansea are so smooth and move the ball really really well. A couple of quality additions and they can be quite the football team.

  3. Under 21 playoff match to reach the semi-final and those cheeky b******s play 26 year old Steven Naismith.  I know it's in the rules but it's still a shame they're playing such an experienced player against kids.

Good experience for our lads playing against him I suppose.

  4. I think that in the first 10 season following our promotion back to the big time, the elation of the Keegan years, then the wonderful time under SBR, there was a general feeling that it was only a matter of time before we won our next piece of silverware. It felt like our time had come to compensate for all the years of hurt in relative oblivion.

Since then, all we have seen are the things that now typify NUFC. The terrible luck, the terrible mismanagement of the club (on all levels), the bottling of big occasions etc. That feeling of "it's our time" is gradually fading away as we come to the deflating realisation that there is a real possibility that it will never be our time.

So sad in a way, but NUFC will live on through it. We might post less on a forum, buy less merchandise and attend less games, but at the end of the day, it is a club which we all take great pride being associated with. Our club is quirky, and different. Our stadium is a thing of beauty, and our away support is practically unrivalled.

  5. Haven't checked yet, but my gut feeling is that he took HBA off when Wigan were still losing thinking we'll be going a point further away from them

  6. Coloccini might not be the blood and thunder leader that Nolan was, but he undeniably brings a significant level of confidence to the pitch that his teammates feed off of. Leadership comes in different forms, and Coloccini's is one of them.

Having said that, it may not be the type of leadership to dig you out of a relegation scrap. We've certainly missed him immensely though, and I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have been in this mess had he not got injured.

  7. This "little bit more" really does my f***ing head in. It's in every interview

Need to threaten the opposition goal A LOT MORE A LOT MORE!! ffs

  8. what a blithering fool.

Ironically it's World Press Freedom Day today. Fuck me if that's what's left of journalism, then the profession is well and truly dead. RIP.

  9. The most significant thing he's said in those quotes is that we're focusing on winning all of our remaining games. That's the kind of attitude I want from all connected with NUFC at the moment. Not the usual "hope for the best/over the line/enough points on the board/see what happens" crap being spouted by the manager.

    ...

Its all about mindset. On paper we have a team very capable of 3 wins. But they’re not performing because their heads have dropped.

    ...

    THIS IS NOT TRUE.

We've performed badly as a team for 2 bloody years, since the day Pardew was appointed. Scraping wins through individual brilliance or getting lucky were our only routes to perceived success. But then our luck ran out, Demba Ba ran out, Ben Arfa limped out and Cisse was shunted out (to the right wing).

Now the orchestrator of all this needs to be run out.

Blaming our perfomances on the team's heads dropping is utter bullshit. It's down to mis-management and our abhorent tactics. Suggesting otherwise is at best being blind to the problems and at worst is an outrageous lie.

However I agree we need to get behind the team for the games. That's obvious. But lets not pretend that we can't do that AND try to run Pardew out for spoiling what is an otherwise potentially very good side. Playing under Pardew must be like trying to ignore a turd in a swimming pool whilst everyone tells you to just get on and enjoy your swim. In theory you should be able to get on and do what you're there to do, but you surely can't give it your best and even the most professional amongst us would eventually start to suggest that if the poo isn't removed, they're getting out and finding a different pool.

 spot on with the analogy. excellent post

  11. Looking on the official site at the "forwards" section really does highlight how f***ing shocking our depth is in that area.

    :anguish:

And someone was trying to defend the stewardship of Ashley & co on here the other day.

Shameful. We are run on a shoestring in comparison to the majority of the PL.

I don't disagree, but by all accounts we thought we had Remy in the bag in January. He would have been a massive boost.

You are right. What eats at me though is 2 years ago the powers that be stated not signing anyone in January as reasonable because that transfer window resulted in falsely inflated prices. We then fail to sign anyone in the summer bar Anita, then scramble around in January at complete odds with the former statement.

Again, at the risk of sounding like I'm defending them, they did shell out for Cisse last January. They won't pay overinflated prices, but they'll pay up when a good deal pops up. They fucked up the summer majorly, and we're currently paying for it with this season. Unfortunately whatever they saved in the summer may end up costing them an absolute fortune (and us our club in the top flight). Absolutely mental.

Come on, it's hardly rocket science. Journalists are getting way too much credit for stating the bleeding obvious here  "use ben arfa moar, drop jonas, don't play sissoko wide".

They're all more interested in blaming the french legion, the Europa League etc.. than actually saying what's really wrong with us. This contributor has it spot on and has said things no one else has pointed out in the media. It's not rocket science but at least someone has shed a light on it ffs.
