  1. It's like the management backed off, backed off, backed off and then made a last second interception.

SEE HOW IRRITATING IT IS DANNY?  DO YOU SEE IT DANNY?  DO YOU?

 trolled by the club it seems.

It's good that he's here until summer tbh. Could be useful (has two legs) cover

  2. Totally respect Jeremy Peace for dicking on Wetknapp from a great height.

As for Odemwingie, the waster can f*** off and rot in the reserves for the next few months.

do you think he will though.....ot will he he be their ranger  ? if they were closer to the bottom i think they'd play him.

I haven't a dickie. But he needs to mend bridges with too many people to play again this season IMO, starting with the fans all the way through his teammates, manager and chairman.

If he was a 20 year old dafty i'd have put it down to inexperience or bad advice. He's 31 ffs.

  3. When Pardew went to put an arm around him at full time, Jonas was shaking his head with disgust at himself. He knows he's making some shocking mistakes, and contributing little, yet he doesn't know how to turn it around. Anyone who's played football consistently for any decent amount of time will understand this feeling.

Sometimes you get stuck in a rut and you're not sure what it is that needs to be done. A spell on the bench is one solution that's for sure. Always gives a player perspective and a chance to gather their thoughts. This is especially true in Jonas' case as he seems to want to rush everything he does on the pitch these days.

  4. Real money for Jonas would be spectacular.

In the summer yes. Not now. Useless as he is, I wouldn't want him leaving until we have seen this season through. He's a good professional, and his friendship with Coloccini could be invaluable to us in the next few months.

Aye they could finally get that knitting club up and running

    Not sure if serious!

  6. Oh and whoever it was with the Darren Bent comparisons.....come off it man!

Cisse was far more involved in general play last night than Bent was. He dropped deep and won the ball back for us on a couple of occasions. He also drifted out wide when we were under pressure, understanding that he could only provide an outlet to relieve our defence from wide positions, and didn't remain static in the center.

  7. didn't even think for one second he'd miss once he was in.

The reality is he could easily have missed. It wasn't a particularly powerful shot, it was straight at the keeper, but fortunately it went through his legs. I still don't think his form is particularly good.

I don't think we should rigidly adhere to the mentality that it's all about the rest of the team creating chances for Cisse. We shouldn't be afraid to try other options ie Gouffran.

    Cronky what happened man :anguish:

The "reality" that he could have easily missed can be counter-argued by the "reality" that he could have scored from previous situations which he did miss. If you know anything about football, and I'm certain that you do, you'll understand what the goal meant for his confidence last night. Make no mistake, it was an emphatic finish.

Well that's true, but I was simply stating a fact. He got himself into a good position, but it wasn't a great finish. It’s simply a matter of assessing what’s in front of us, rather than what we hope / expect to see.

Perhaps Cisse is the best package available to us at the moment, but I don't think that's set in stone, given his overall contribution. And looking to the future, if we want to progress, we may need to look at better options.

No doubt about it. We need an alternative that is not Ameobi. Cisse's form and general spirit seems to have lifted as of late, and that's all and well if he continues to play and score. Were he to get injured Jah forbid, we'd be totally fucked. Gouffran will get his chance to showcase his talents in front of goal. He strikes me as someone who understands that playing out wide does not mean he won't find himself in situations from which to score.

  8. Have to say our away support was at its absolute best last night, a credit to the club. Visibly kept the side going at times in the 2nd half.

   The best away support in the land bar none. Massive credit to every single one, and you could see it meant a lot to the players. Did they all come over to the fans at full time? Sure I saw Cisse gathering his teammates pointing them in the direction of the away end.

  9. Anyone who thinks it was a foul is off their tits. The only thing Debuchy was guilty of was giving him the opportunity to dive for a penalty. He got too close, which was naive.

 Clear as day that Agbonlahor stepped on Debuchy's foot, and fell to the ground.

By the way what the fuck was up with their players? They really had a right go at us in terms of fouling us all over the place. Some dangerous tackles as well. Also noticed Westwood? give Jonas a shove just after he was booked. Was he trying to gode him into a reaction? Cunts.

  10. The fucking subs heaped a huge amount of pressure on us again in the 2nd half. When the hell is Pardew going to realize that re-jigging the midfield time and time again, as randomly as he does, isn't going to preserve a lead? Fuck me it doesn;t take much to realize it!

IMO what helped us weather the storm was Jonas' spat with Weimann and whoever else it was. That was soon after Villa had scored and his antics helped frustrate them, and slowed the game down. I don't like to see it, but under the circumstances last night he used his experience well to our advantage. We were facing a rampant home side by that point and he single handedly sucked the life out of them fannying about the way he did. After "that" day in May, it was perfect revenge.

  11. The thing about Cisse is that he has been getting into those positions as he did for the goal yesterday all season, the only problem was people supplying the ball never saw that pass until he had made his run into an offside positions or simply didn't even make it, Sissoko has the awareness to see and make the pass before Cisse has run into an offside position.

Spot on. Also, Cisse pointed to where he wanted it, and Sissoko obliged without dallying for a second. That's the type of supply Cisse thrives on.
