So Mehdi Abeid isn't good enough to get into the Algeria side? Probably because he hasn't played enough football.

So how long can we expect Pardew to need to implement a philosophy throughout the squad/club. He's been here a while now and we still look a totally different team from week to week IMO. Sometimes it's as though they don't even know what they're meant to be doing.
Obviously our ludicrous recruitment policy doesn't help him, but can anyone honestly say we have an emerging style of note? I can't. I'd love to believe he's working on it but a bit more evidence would be nice.
Thing is, we did have one last season. We had one in the first half of the season, and another in the second. Whatever team was put out, seemed to know what they were doing. We were pressing high up the pitch (led by Cabaye), and we were systematically breaking teams down on occasion. We were also pretty difficult to break down when we defended leads.

What's Otto Hitzfeld up to these days?

At what point did llambias qualify as a sound judge of footballing talent?
A casino manager until a few years back & now he`s sudenly re-invented as an almost sage like figure offering opinions on the playing staff that are quite clearly bullshit.
I`m not sure what worries me more: Either this is his opinion & transfer policy is being infuenced by such, or this is Pardews thoughts-by proxy.
I'm pretty sure they're learning about the business of football as they go along. Not a bad idea in theory, unless you're learning from the wrong people.

Can't think of much in football atm the boils my p*ss as much as Liverpool and Suarez.
Taggart and his band of cheats tbh. My hatred for Lpool has calmed down a bit now that their fans have piped down about winning the league and all that.
-
Very odd. He looked lively and technically very sound in his little cameos. Came close to scoring a few times as well. Does he get run outs for the dev squad?
-
Can't believe he wasn't even given a few minutes at Brighton.
Has to go out on loan asap. Same probably goes for Streete.
Tbf Shola's sending off probably curtailed any plans to bring him on.
-
Got to go out on loan this month. I know he's been injured and only just come back recently but this lad needs to be playing plenty of football. The future of the club can't just be sat around doing fuck all on the bench week in week out.
Do it Pardew!

Indeed he does. He didn't mean the handball on this occasion. Goal still shouldn't have stood though.

Good point made there. Suarez's handball actually takes the ball over the line, the manner in which he casually smashes the ball into the net after that screams of "well, that will be disallowed".
He knows he's cheated and he knows he's got away with it.
Wonder if it will be admitted by any of the scousers in the post match interviews.

Thia thread
Give the lad a break man. It's like a proper playground beating of the new kid.
I'd give him a break if he a) wasn't talking utter rubbish b) used terrible grammar and c) used sites like caught offside to help his point.
You want him to use terrible grammar and use caughtoffiside?

That's robbery by the uruguayan scouser. Rodgers shouldn't have risked him on such a pitch, and now he goes and bundles one in with his hand. Watch the big Mansfield centre half mangle him.

Ba and Sturridge already included in their respective new squads.
Debuchy isn't. I suppose the aforementioned players already existed in the programming and it was just a case of moving teams. Our new recruit probably has to be created. Still, lax twats all the same.

Generally think academy production has a huge bearing on luck. For every one player that makes it 1000 don't, and the difference at that age is minimal, sometimes the better players don't shine, and you've gone with another. It's a lottery at times, and probably one of the hardest things in football to get right.
It also helps when you don't have Willie Donachie in charge of your bairns.
What's the average age in the reserves these days? I'll take a wild guess at 20
He's not, he's in charge of the reserves not youth.
Won't help their development though.
Eh? When they get to that age they should be out on loan, therefore the problem doesn't lie with the reserve manager.
What's the average age in our reserves these days? Wild guess at 20
