  1. I think the point is that we need more goals from players other than Ba and Cisse. The goal Cabaye scored against the spackems is a type of goal we rarely ever score where a midfielder arrives in the box just in time to mop up. Our strikers are marked men now, for obvious reasons, as is Ben Arfa. If we could get an additional goal scoring threat - a midfielder with 8 or 9 goals a season in him - it would make a massive difference to us.
  2. So Reina is on the bench? wtf? Brad Jones starts.
  3. Yup. Can see Spurs getting in on the act to bolster their frontline.
  4. Pretty confident we'll do these today. Now that Tchoyi has fucked off.
  5. I see him as an attacking midfielder, with licence to roam playing in behind the main forward. The lad can bloody travel with the ball but he's too big physically for the wings.
  6. Debuchy is an absolute beast! Lille's captain tonight.
  7. Fuck's sake! Went from 5 points to 16 to 11 in the space of half an hour.
  8. Just realized the Arsenal goal is the clearest offside you'll see all year.
  9. Mackie taking the piss out of the Arsenal defence. Should've buried that ffs.
  10. Granero should've punished Arsenal there.
  11. What the fuck brought Cesar to QPR? Top GK
  12. Save of the season there from Cesar AGAIN before he concedes.
  13. Did Duff get the assist? Yerp. Fuck me he did!
  14. Al Habsi Hangeland Duff Podolski Fuck all happening.
  15. The man is a walking encyclopedia of LFC cliches despite being there 5 minutes. You'd think the c*** is an Anfield Road legend or some s*** the way he goes on, talking like a billy big bollocks about refereeing. Spouting crap continuously as if he was a poster on RAWK thinking he'll get the fans on his side.
  16. What do you think he can bring starting ahead of Perch, who in my mind is Tiote's obvious replacement in a holding role? He makes up ground quicker and is better under pressure. And he's only gonna get better. Well imo Perch won't have to make up any ground, as he reads the game quite well. He'll suss out their attack, make the tackle and pass it on. He's not as combative as Bigi in style, but his calmness in midfield could be just what the doctor ordered against a team who move the ball at a high tempo.
  17. I didn't think any of their players stood out tbh aside from their centre forward who I thought was particularly poor. Odidja did look a very good player. It was hard for anyone playing in the middle of the park to stand out last night as everything went down the sides, but he played a very good defensive role for them and distributed the ball very well.
