Both he and Tiote were clearly lacking in match sharpness. Also didn't help the fact that Tiote had a mediocre game by his standards. Should be fairly simple in that Tiote will win the ball, quickly feed Cabaye who will open up the play. Their movement in tandem will be essential and could be the difference between a positive and a below-par season for us.

  2. Rodallega, OH GOD please no. Someone watch the game he had against West Ham at the JJB last season.

Overrated as f***, wastes a crapload of opportunities.

Wouldn't mind him if we were going for 2 strikers. If it's just the one, then I'd take Bendtner over him any day.

  3.

Sorry if it's already been posted, but which Arsenal player tweeted at HT that Walcott needs to come on in the 2nd half? Was mentioned on the commentary, but didn't catch the name of the player.

Anyway, woeful game, excellent point. We were totally disjointed past the half way line. Coloccini was the best player on the pitch IMO. Arsenal look a shadow of themselves. Wenger is a twat and Song is a dirty bastard. Shola takes an eternity to get back up when on his arse, and Best isn't slow, he's just slow off the mark. Needs to work on explosive acceleration, and it will make a huge difference to his game imo.

    Rant over.

  4. Sunderland can lose every game after this, but I want Liverpool to lose today.

I honestly don't understand this type of comment. The mackems are our rivals not Liverpool, so they have more ambition than us and have bought a couple of our best players, ffs get over it.

Hated Liverpool long before they bought Carroll and Enrique tbh. f*** them. I've probably been on situations being p*ssed off by scousers more often than I have Mackems.

I've had the same experience tbh. Hate that cuntbag of an organization and their cretinous "fans". Will always wish the worst on them as a football club.

  5. My biggest problem with Pete is his over-reliance on those around him. When we don't play particularly well, he doesn't score, doesn't contribute and doesn't try to fight his way into the game. I can't stand players like that.

Absolutely spot on! It irks me even more as I thought he would be a bit of a cult hero here, driving the team on with extraordinary hard work.

  6. So then, Pardew said after we get this striker whoever that may be, we have to wait until players leave as we're at the 25 squad limit. So with Jose and Xisco gone, including Pardews mystery striker, should I expect another two singings in this "one in, one out" policy? A left back obviously and possibly another striker?

Ideally it would be 2 forwards, a left back and a center half. Should be 1 of each at a bare minimum.

  7.

Good riddance. Nowt against the lad personally. Shambolic transfer in the first place. Hope this frees up enough wages for a serious jab at a decent forward or two.

  8. Couple things from the Sheffield Wed.-Blackpool match...

Why couldn't Puma give us a shirt like Wednesday's? Would look great in B+W.

It's depressing looking at Hillsborough with so many empty seats. They deserve better.

    Disagree. The collar is horrendous.

  9.

Don't blame the lad for leaving, but once he's a Liverpool player, he will be scouse scum to me, as is every player on that squad. Hate Liverpool and Dalglish with the power of a thousand suns.

  10. Don't really get the big issue people have. We're still trying to buy a striker, so he's clearly going to be at least 3rd choice, and as Pardew said in his quotes on .co.uk, it's partly down to keeping continuity at the club, and possibly to help Sammy develop too.

No problem with this whatsoever. I think it should have been done after we have secured a starting forward first. At this rate, Shola will be one of the main starting 1 or 2.

  11. Apologies if this has been mentioned before but I'm kinda worried about Pards quoted comments on the BBC website around the fact '...it wasn't until WR joined Swansea that were were able to bring him in.'

Divvn't worry pet all's well

  12. Something about Pardew backing Enrique to stay on the back page of the Chronicle later.

I hope and pray everyday to Cheik Thy Lord Tiote that Enrique will stay,

  13. The talk of Pavlyuchenko just suggests to me there are no real live targets any more. I think we'll probably stick with the strike force we've got using the pretext that we won't buy for the sake of it. If we can't buy the strikers we want we won't settle for second best etc.

What if it were a smokescreen as this regime has tended to use them in the past.
