  1. I rate this kid like.

Just needs to be more clinical with his finishing.

I rate him too, but can't help thinking rating a striker who needs to be "more clinical with his finishing", is a bit like rating a surgeon (great bedside manner, and clearly knows his stuff, advises the rest of the team wonderfully!) who needs to be a bit more accurate with his cutting.

Not really. Football isn't a matter of life and death..

  2. Does the business on the pitch, thats enough for me to like him. He also comes across decently whenever he's interviewed, he just has different personal opinions to us. He was there and we weren't after all

He's done brilliantly since coming in for Krul there's no doubt about that. He also seems to really care and seems a bit of a leader in the team which is great to see. Those that are at the matches, is he loud on the pitch? Does he organize his defenders better than Krul does?

  3. Not sure about Mole, suspect any Newcastle manager would have considered a freebie at teh time, and he was clear he wanted to leave the Makems.

We have become so small-time, pards made it sound like it was such a major coup that we brought jack fucking colback HOME. on a FREE.

  4. What comments did he make / did he do to make him so unliked?

Been one of our best players this season.

al pards is mint. what do fans expect? 8th or 9th is about right for nufc. ben arfa is scum. or something similar.

Ah, so basically he was a fat Pardew?

Exactly. KI or TheGuv or some other hipster bumped into him and had a chat with him. No idea how they managed to understand what he's said with pards' cock down his throat anarl.

  5. Hatred exists because he's f***ing crap, no need to analyse it any further.

TBH no. I don't hate him because he's crap. I hate him because he's crap and a shoe-in to start every match possible for us until he retires OR Ashley sells the club and we get a manager with the balls to drop him.

For what it's worth, I still have a feeling that as soon as Saivet is up to speed, he'll replace Colback in the line-up.

  6. I have a spider living on my veranda that can probably shoot better than Mitro at the moment. Excellent game despite the obvious lack of confidence in front of goal. The penalty he scored last game was immense and vital to his development IMO. Will only get better and better.

  7. Finally starting to really impose himself on games for 90 minutes. Superb player. How we managed to get him in before anyone else I'll never know. In the replays for his goal you can see he reads the situation perfectly (as the ball is still making its way to Janmaat) and starts to make his run. Our goal of the season for me so far.

  8. Come on guys I mean OBVIOUSLY he means he'll bring in Adebayor to Palace and put him on the bench. Play him for the last 4 or 5 games of the season, and that'll teach him. Boom. Genius. England manager.

  9. Some truly abhorrent posts in this thread of late. I hate this c*** and wish him nothing but personal failure and professional misery.

    Killing his family ffs

Guessing that high horse you're sitting on doesn't allow for jokes

Nope. What you gonna do? Punch my horse?

  10. In this case, I don't believe Mbemba deliberately handballed it, but his outstretched arm changed the direction of the ball, and should therefore be a penalty.

If you believe it wasn't deliberate, then you believe it's not a penalty. By definition.

Oh yes by the current rules. I just meant that if they adjusted it the way I've explained, it would eliminate a lot of the guessing and controversy.

  11. This handball/pen issue is so convoluted and confusing. In my mind, anytime the ball touches a hand/arm in the penalty area which changes the direction of the ball, it should be a penalty. Deliberate or not. This is the reason it shouldn't be a penalty if a ball strikes an arm that is in front of the head/chest/down by the leg, as long as the ball's direction doesn't change had the arm not been there.

  12. i'm not at all happy about this, but playing devils advocate for a moment, if we played him on the left wing and left him there for a number of games till his fitness and form returned could he not do some sort of job?

This should be the only way he is used IMO, and not as a replacement for Sissoko unless Sissoko is moving in-field to play alongside Shelvey and Saivet.

  13. Looks very comfortable shooting/crossing with both feet with no visible over-reliance on either side. Compilation on denniswise.com makes him look alright.

Still skeptical about it personally, especially if it's for deluded Levy money.

  14.

They also conceeded the softest ever penalty yesterday

I was wondering if this would be brought up.

It was brought up plenty along with the 2 clear offside goals that were allowed to stand.

  15. . Probably the only captain's performance we have seen from him in his entire time as the club's leader.

Never been a massive fan of Colo but this clearly isn't the case.

When else has he performed as a captain and lifted the team leading by example? He did all his good work driving us forward with intelligent passing and even an attempt on goal. Really can't remember many, if any, times he's done that as captain.
