Hard to reconcile being wedged and owned by PIF with constantly being worried about losing our best players to the legacy ‘six’. I thought Barca/Real would be the only viable destinations when some of these players wanted to scratch a certain itch. Chelsea, Arsenal and the other ESL conspirators can get fucked.

Yankuba Minteh (now playing for Brighton & Hove Albion)

His performances in the Eredivisie would suggest, at the very least, we take a closer look at him before making any decision on his future. There’s at least half’ a dozen ‘saleable’ assets that I’d sell to generate income first. Finally the players we are being linked with seem like squad fillers and not the ready made first 11 improvements we need. Yes I know it’s early in the window and the club doesn’t want to show its hand too early. If we are going to let a player of his profile go (we aren’t Chelsea and we don’t have multiple young starlets) let’s hope we are bringing in a Chiesa or someone who will take us to the next level. -

I hope it’s Roma or another foreign club and we have at least some type of first dibs on a buy back option. Baffling decision otherwise. -
Group E: 1. Romania, 2. Belgium, 3. Slovakia (Q), 4. Ukraine

Tielemans playing like prime Pirlo. -
It’s Ashleyesque. Hoping most of this is paper talk.

If we are having to sell Minteh to buy DCL I’d really rather not bother. -
Group B: 1. Spain, 2. Italy, 3. Croatia, 4. Albania

Most frustrating NUFC player I watched over the last 10-15 years. Definitely had talent though. -
Group C: 1. England, 2. Denmark, 3. Slovenia (Q), 4. Serbia

60 minutes of excruciating Southgate-ball after an excellent start. The Southgate template. Rice MOTM, he was outstanding. Kane runs like the Newcastle version of Geremi but not as quick. -

I actually like Pickford, is there something wrong with me? -

Apparently they have 20 players in their squad who are 6ft + -
Doubt Olise would be jumping out of his foreskin to join an NUFC without Bruno or Isak.

Always gets me going listening to the Keel Row. -
He’d be mad to go to City with all of the charges hanging over them. I must admit I only ever saw him leaving for Real/Barca, I couldn’t bear to see him playing for another English club. BTW I know this is most probably bollocks.

Iheanacho, DCL, Trafford, Kelly….. hopefully smoke screens for Chiesa etc. smoke screens yeah? Yeah?

Liverpool can fuck right off, I wouldn’t even sell them Jeff Hendrick. -
Can someone with a shirt comment on the sizing. Is it Castore bingo or are they true to size? I was a ‘L’ for decades (bit baggier in the ‘90s in fairness) until Castore.

We belong with Adidas like, and vice versa. Some relationships are just symbiotic. I know it’s just a kit manufacturer but I’m getting 90s vibes when there was a real excitement around the kit launches.

We seem weak in defence. It’s Rafa’s ‘short blanket’ a couple of tournaments ago we were struggling in midfield.

Liverpool is the last destination I could ever imagine Bruno leaving for. I think that club are about to go get a shock, I think their post-Klopp odyssey might not be as fruitful as they expect.

Liverpool fans were responsible for the deaths of 39 Juve fans at Heysel. It’s rarely mentioned, we are the bad guys because we’ve got Saudi owners. Shameless club.

We should be able to spend as much as any other club in the PL. The concept of ‘spend what the club earns’ is pretty new and didn’t exist for well over a century. It’s also totally loaded in favour of clubs who have been making hay for 20-30 years building themselves into an unassailable position with no restrictions. As soon as the Football League was created clubs were bankrolled by rich owners or they were using inducements to import Scottish professionals etc.

They’ll outsell the actual kit.

I love international tournament football, always have since I was a kid. Some of my favourite memories are from Euros/World Cups. I totally ‘zone out’ from club football during the tournaments, don’t give it a second thought. England’s problem is similar to Newcastle’s. They need to turn up for the really big games and break through that barrier. It’s largely a cakewalk for England until we draw one of the usual suspects and we invariably lose. Southgate has made loving England quite hard but I’m still excited for the Euros.
