Again, we need dept in the squad. We can not just have 11 first top players, and rest is youngsters. Its up to Taylor and eventually a new CB to impress Pardew, and make their way into the first 11. Its how they get better, never let anyone think for a second that the place in the squad is their to have, you need to stay sharp, and play well. If not there are hungry quality players there to take your place.

Tiote is absolutely massive for us, not the player you take most note of during a game, but his work rate and "gameness" really helps us breaking up oppositions play. Interesting words from Pardew anyway, and he is so spot on regarding young players. I am sure they made a stand, and it will send a msg to other young players. We can release you, no matter how good you are, if you don`t work hard enough. It also shows the new youngsters we are getting in, that this is not a walk in the park, and we expect 100% commitment and work ethic in training, and professionalism outside the pitch. Our youth setup will be very interesting to follow the next couple of years, i think we are heading the right way. If we could produce a couple of good players who can compete for a place in out starting 11, i would be absolutely over the moon. Nothing like a product of our own academy making it at the top level. Makes me proud and really feel closer connected to the player. Howay!
