  1. So far in the Everton game there's been: Happening.
  2. It won't help loads but surely a slippier surface may make it slightly harder for Man Utd to get into top gear?

  4. The only chance of getting a decent result (I'm not sure if I mean points-wise, or keeping the game close) is to go in with the right attitude, which will be a big ask. The players are human beings, and if Man Utd score early on then it's a huge test for anyone, even those of big personalities. If the team can harass their players, and keep their chins up, along with Man Utd not being on top form, then you have chance. A lot of ifs, though.
  5. Can't see us winning tonight, even though we ought to be imo. Have a feeling we'll turn in an awful performance like we did at Wigan earlier in the season. Also, I see Allardyce is moaning about how the ref should watch out for Cahill; not only does it show he's clearly concerned, he's best off using his time sorting out his mediocre side. Along with wanting revenge for robbing a win at Goodison on the opening day, I hope we destroy them.
  6. Me neither, but the tone of this OP is a bit weird, not sure why we all need a 'lesson in football'! Aye that's the bit that narks me as well.
  7. Same, forums aren't meant to be a place where everyone agrees, surely. Pretty scathing though to say someone's dad who has a lot of footballing-related experience "knows f*** all". Otherwise, the debate is healthy.
  8. To be honest results have hardly been conspiring against you much, it's been pretty mixed I'd say for the most part.
  9. What do you get if it comes off?
  10. Tommy Smith to the rescue for GG potentially :colo:
  11. Sounds like what happens to me every week. I am the anti-christ of betting. Yep exactly. Everyone has their bad bits of luck but some of the things I experience are beyond a joke due to their consistent nature Not looking too bad bar Ipswich.
  12. The thing is, they have the players (not strength in depth, but their first team is good). Questions have to be asked how they can consistently play so s**t. This patch they're having was always going to come, it was a matter of when the undeserved scrappy victories dried up.
  13. Bury now 2 down at home to 10 man Chesterfield. Good work lads, you f***ing idiots.
  14. Crewe behind within 20..... Come on lads, clean sweep.
  15. Bury, Crewe, MK Dons, QPR. Bury concede within 2 minutes
  16. Yet you have no reply, what a suprise. No-one has denied that teams around Newcastle could move up. It's your reasoning for future projections that is letting you down. One such delightful example of logic being, "Hull have beaten us twice this season". Right-oh, so that means they're going to move up the table? I also still question why you were so insecure as to dig up a post well over a week old just to attempt to tell yourself that you were right.
  17. Your incompetence really does stagger me. Massively large logic fail.
  18. I'm sure Teasy doesn't need anyone else to justify his argument, but since he isn't here.... Do you know the meaning of the word "consistently"? He clearly stated he didn't believe the teams in and around Newcastle could gain points on a consistent enough basis. Merely 1 game after the Everton match and you've had the audacity to delcare yourself correct? You must enjoy wallowing in your doom-mongering philosophy to take the time to dig up his post and [wrongly] assume you're universally correct. What you are correct on is that a lot of teams around Newcastle could indeed move up. However a lot of them could also move down.
  19. How are they going to move upwards? Are the league giving out free points or something? Blackburn can win games Stoke have a new scorer in Beattie whos already getting goals Tottenham always have the ability to win Portsmouth are on the back of their first win and a decent draw in a long while Hull beat us in carling cup with a reserve side out A lot of the teams around us could move up if youre living in reality. However if you feel safer deluding yourself feel happy to. Feeble reasoning that though isn't it? Just because its possible for them to win doesn't mean they will. We recently went on a run of gaining only 1 point in 5 games, we started that run 2 points off the bottom three and finished it one point off. The teams you mentioned just aren't gaining points consistently enough to assume they'll gain on us significantly even if we lost three in a row. But if it makes you feel better to wallow in panic and self pitty be my guest, just don't get mixed up on who's deluding themselves. we're now 2 points off 2nd bottom with 3 of our next 4 games against Man united, Chelsea & Arsenal. Id just like to take this moment, to show you how right i was & how very deluded you were. One of the worst types of poster a forum can have.
  20. They won't be taking it seriously next year either, mainly because they won't be in it. Thank f***. I thought they would because Man Utd won, but will go to the Champions league cause they'll obviously be in the top four. I dunno, though. Could Spurs get in cause Man U are already in a cup competition? No that only applies to the FA Cup runners up. The 6th placed team in the league will now get a Europa League place or whatever it is called. Unless West Ham/Fulham/Wigan go unbeaten until the end of the season.....
  21. Another 4-3? Mainland Europe putting the Premiership to shame this weekend.
  22. We have much the same problem, it's just hidden slightly by an excellent defence and team spirit. Some of our play (e.g. yesterday) is just abysmal. Simple passes are seemingly not an option.
