Because he scored against Man Yoo. See Rodwell. What a terrible comparison. But please, carry on.
  2. Thought your game vs Man Utd was printing money, but tonight, fuck me.
  3. 1-0 Arsenal. Still get beat, but screws people's bets up.
  4. o2.5 Arsenal goals from 6/4 now best price evens, most going odds on. Got on that and -2. =========== Got some decent ante-post bets which could potentially come in in the next few weeks. Bale to score over 14.5 league goals @ 11/10 - needs 1 more in 4 games, praying a daft injury doesn't come about. Henderson to make the WC squad @ 5/2 - now best price 8/11, surely has a good chance albeit that stupid red card wasn't welcome Atletico to win the league @ 6/1 - obviously in pole position but a small cover on Real @ 7/2 Got a few others on other sports but those are the main ones which will be decided in the coming weeks.
  5. An awful lot are happy with the idea of us letting Man City win next week. Of course it's not quite so simple in practice as I don't think we'll allow our players to literally put in a half-arsed performance. I personally struggle to get my head around the idea of my team not giving 100% in order to screw over our rivals. But I can understand why some feel that way. Personally, I actually think Man City will win regardless, given that 4th is now out of reach after that pitiful sack of shite at Southampton yesterday.
  6. Oh and I'm sure it's already been mentioned, but the hilarity of Chelsea scoring in first half stoppage time - time that they themselves added on due to their incessant time wasting - will not grow old anytime soon.
  7. Fucking A-men. Spot on, they're arseholes. Amen to that. Really is surprising to see people with such an enthusiasm of them winning the league. Their fans are truly insufferable and the media will never, ever let us hear the end of it. The regular full playings of YNWA and Gerrard "he'll finally win the league" obsession are already apparent. Him falling on his own arse and handing Chelsea the win was glorious to watch. Martin Tyler sounded absolutely horrified today and made every Liverpool attack sound like the beckoning of a glorious new era. Glad Chelsea won if only to shut the senile old cunt up.
  8. Gerrard's 2nd half performance was embarrassing. Total selfishness to try to redeem his error. Must have had at least 7 shots in that half.

    Sunderland

Fair play to them, given themselves a great chance when relegation looked almost certain.
  10. No offence Neil, but it never really did imo. (Didn't say anything back then cause it was just two posts after your comment about my Jose love, so....) I think everyone knows Mourinho long and good enough to know that he won't go to Anfield and will let his boys go down 3-0 or so. 11/5 was excellent value and I stand by it. That result doesn't change that whatsoever. Congratulations on your Chelsea bets.
  11. We could gift them the title next week. :anguish:
  12. ffs, Bale not playing tonight. Yet he came off the bench on Wednesday? Knobs.

    Tito Vilanova - RIP

    Terrible news. RIP.
  14. Liverpool -1 now best price 7/4. Still worth it like.
  15. Why in the name of god would you pick Everton of all teams? Fuck off Flip. It's great fun being quite good and sort of near success.
  16. Oh my, that's going to change the scoreboard.
  17. Well you have to say that was a goal.
  18. True. Which is what Martinez has done with us over the course of this season. We looked pretty blunt early on but once he had the time to implement his system, the results have followed and we've scored more goals and have generally looked more and more dangerous as the season has worn on. Apart from when he kept them up on several occasions, making them very good to watch on the ball in the process. The one season he failed to keep them up, he won the FA Cup with them - a staggering achievement for Wigan (let's not forget Martinez's Wigan dismantling Moyes' Everton in the quarters), and proved to be 1 more cup than Moyes managed in many more years with a far better team. Moyes proved himself to be extremely adept at building a team in his image, turning around a sinking ship in 2002 and progressively building up a team which challenged for Europe consistently. He however never proved himself to be a truly winning manager as his mentality in the big games stunk, and that held us back big time. That was asserted several times throughout his reign as well, not just since he left and it's become cool to criticise him. I don't like to see people forgetting what Moyes did for us, because he did a hell of a lot. But what Martinez has highlighted is Moyes' main weakness - his mentality - a facet which is Martinez's strongest because of the positivity he has brought. And that's why I see Martinez as the better manager.
  19. He's so fast, with this much space he gets so dangerous. Yip, possibly the best substitution in the world to have at that time.
