According to my Mackem mate who, shock horror, is actually level-headed, apparently the general story was it was a disgraceful decision not to award the 2nd Sunderland goal but the fact of the matter was Arsenal should have been way more than 1-0 up before they equalised and they were fortunate to be in the game at all. Interested to see just how bad this decision was from Atkinson. Or lack of.
Man Utd 3-1 Crystal Palace
Aston Villa 2-0 Newcastle
Fulham 1-1 West Brom
Hull 1-0 Cardiff
Stoke 1-1 Man City
Sunderland 1-3 Arsenal
Tottenham 2-0 Norwich
Everton 0-1 Chelsea
Southampton 1-0 West Ham
Swansea 1-2 Liverpool
Worst bet of the weekend is surely Man City.
Last 5 league games at the Britannia have ended in 4 draws and 1 Stoke win, but Man City are 4/6? Righto. While I'm not saying Stoke will win, the +1 is surely worth a wee bet @ 13/10?
BTTS I reckon as well.
Can now get 13/2 with bwin for Spain next summer.
As was 6/1 with Ladbrokes a couple of months ago, this is just a stupid price. 2008, 2010, 2012, all Spain. And they're 13/2? Righto.
Should be 4/1, at most 9/2.
Avoided it in the end. Class goal.
The general standard actually was poor from both teams. 2nd vs 5th in Brazil's top league and with the odd neat flick aside, it was absolutely dire football.
Monitoring the Botafogo-Corinthians game. The latter love lacking goals at both ends but the odds for either side to win are looking increasingly tempting. Corinthians in particular, nearly 5/1, even if Botafogo are unbeaten at home.
The ball is like they're playing on astroturf or something. Bobbling all over the place.
