  1. ET I believe. If attacking players can score points over 120 minutes, it's only right defenders have to go for 120 minutes too.
  2. Although Portugal have generally been creating chances this tournament, the one they have not been is clinical. And there's one man who has wasted the vast majority of those chances. Don't let the fact he's played well this tournament cover the fact he's missed shedloads.
  3. Come on, boot it in, GET IT IN THE MIXER
  4. Yup, big comparisons here. Just descended into fouls and cards all over the place despite the best players in the world being on the pitch. Pedro on.
  5. OMG IT WAS SO CLOSE, WHAT A FREE KICK TAKER HE IS :fwap: :fwap: :fwap: :fwap:
  6. DOUBLE RONALDO FK BONUS TIME :fwap: :fwap: :fwap: :fwap:
  7. Martin Keown and Mark Bright telling Spain how they should play.
  8. Got to say Anderson, Ronaldo 1-0 is looking very possible.
  9. Got Spain 1-0 written all over this IMO.
  10. You'll get your money back. Same situation if he comes on after the first goal. I think?
  11. The classic Ramos/Busquets/Pepe yellow card treble.
  12. At least Almeida is like he is on FM.

He is a completely different player to the one we had. At Euro 2004 he was ripping into teams. Now he's becoming some sort of attacking midfielder/ forward/quarterbacky floaty player who if in doubt will try a hopeful diagonal cross-field pass which often doesn't find its intended target. He is a quality player but could, and should, have been one of the greats.

Has Johnson ever performed consistently well at any point his career other than the one in the Championship? I don't think he is that good. I agree that he's yet to be consistently good in the Premier League (he needs to leave Man City immediately), but I find it odd how Milner, Walcott and AOC were all preferred ahead of him. And Downing.
  16. Yes! A free bet at long last. What can I waste £30 on?

Rodwell needs to a) stop getting injured and b) improve quite a bit Richards is better than them both IMO. Does anyone have an actual reason as to where Richards was? What's he done to Hodgson?

The bottom line for me is that he didn't look fit.

Got off lightly, as you'd expect.

Cruel once more to go out on penalties but obviously, the fair result in terms of the game. Thought we started well and with purpose more than anything. We actually got at the Italians and I thought we were the better team for the first 20-25 mins. Quickly after that though we did our usual thing of getting deeper and deeper and obviously this encouraged Italy. Pirlo got on the ball more and of course if he's afforded the time and space he was last night he is going to run the show (from a footballing POV he was outstanding last night, arguably performance of the tournament so far). Thought Young, Milner and Johnson were awful, Rooney didn't look fully fit and Parker was moved all around the place by the smarter Italian movement and possession. Terry and Lescott for the most part were good, Gerrard has been our best player this tournament comfortably, and that's as someone who shall we say isn't Gerrard's biggest fan. One big positive was giving the likes of Carroll and Welbeck some tournament experience, I think there is promise there. But, as per usual, too many players didn't perform and surprise surprise, we got knocked out. Of course, fully advocate analysis at a grass roots level but we've known this for many years.
