Tempted to put something like £20 on 2-0 to Germany tonight. Don't usually put that much on a scoreline but really, really fancy it. Greece to make things awkward, Germany to get the breakthrough shortly before or after half time, and get a 2nd around 75-80th minute.

Just remembered my Euro 2012 anteposts - frankly had almost forgotten about them. The one that looks likely is Lewandowski (although half the odds), Ronaldo and Gomez as team top scorers. Doesn't return much but it's something at least (barring a Podolski hatrick or something tomorrow). Benzema as France's top scorer - this was the one I was most confident of before the tournament and is the one which is looking the least likely. He has barely looked like a goal threat this tournament from when I've seen him. Germany to win it - possible Schweinsteiger man of the tournament - not impossible. The group bets firmly went down the shitter. What anteposts are looking good for people?

Good point, well made. Honestly can't tell whether you're being sarcastic. A club can go move the goalposts as much as they want, if the buying club are that keen then they'll match the valuation. Obviously, if the player isn't keen on moving to you in the first place then you should forget about it immediately and move on.

This is the problem. Do you keep most of the obvious players and ensure you'll keep up with the pace roughly but know you're unlikely to get ahead, or pick different players now hoping they produce? I haven't especially thought this knockout stage through very well. Just picked a relatively balanced team and hoping that'll work out.

Surely now I won't be top, Branko through sheer weight of numbers will sneak ahead. Not sure I've really thought through the whole transfers thing in the knockout stage as it isn't as straightforward as the group stages when there was a set amount of games they'd all play (barring tactical changes, injuries etc). We'll see anyway, both players tonight did their jobs.
