As far as I can see, it's just the media (Sky) grasping onto Redknapp's comments about how the club could be challenging within a couple of years, and now combined with other teams' weaknesses at the top, making them out to be the DARK HORSES for the title.

No, because regardless of how well Routledge plays, it HAS to be King Joey on the right wing. Silly me, my mistake.

Surely it has to be: Krul Simpson Sol Taylor Jose Rout Barton Tiote Jonas Nolan Carroll ?
-
Guthrie wasn't that bad was he?

How in any reality was that performance from Jonas pitiful? Second half = run run RUN RUN, what's that? Ranger is in a good position for a cross/through ball? Oh well. run run RUN RUN RUN aww, no more ball. First half was rather good, though. As he crossed the ball. I know, and I've criticised him for that plenty in the past. But how that can be described as some sort of abysmal performance from him is beyond me.

Chelsea were completely on top for the vast majority of that. That is an excellent point.
-
Unlucky deflection, but no less than Chelsea deserve.

Hasn't this been discussed to death? You don't need to chase the game after Alex's gift. You're content, on the whole, to sit and frustrate a Chelsea side far from their best. And you're doing it very well so far.
-
Routledge, Enrique and Sol have been particularly excellent so far.

What a through ball from Alex. Inch perfect.

Did you know Spurs only had 2 points when Harry took over? Harry's class. They're in the CL now. What a wheeler dealer. What a guy.

Interesting stuff there leffe. I have thought the same thing many a time. It isn't just the third round draw either - I'm almost sure that in most recent seasons, their 4th, 5th and even quarter final draws were consistently 'kind'. I think one season they got something like 2 L1 and 2 Champ sides, all at home, in their 3rd, 4th, 5th, QF draws.

It's hard to look past Beckford's appalling finishing from the chances he's been given but as 1878 said, the depressing thing is he isn't our worst striker at the moment whatsoever. Also, the 'faith' Moyes has shown in him has been a joke. Actually give him some more game time instead of the completely inevitable substitution at some point in the 2nd half and being told to get us a goal. Our problems aren't with Beckford on the whole, they're with the complete no-shows of Saha and increasingly, Yak. Arteta has been shite for most of this season and I'm not displeased to know he'll be well away from the side for a few games; I'd much rather see Fellaini and Rodwell in the middle currently. Pienaar, although has played well relatively, hasn't signed the contract which has been on the table for ages hence he'll be off sooner or later by the looks of things. Bily, although producing disappointing performances on the whole, has also been shown fuck all faith from Moyes. Pickle.

I think Benitez has been told to play a more open game, yet things are just shitter. Simply don't have the players to play expansive football. Cassano would help, though. More to the point, Inter don't have the manager to successfully play open, attacking football.

Crespo close to his hatrick!

3-2. Hernan Jorge. What was the defender doing? Cordoba?

I'd love to know how much money they take on stuff like that. General rule is that you get your money back if the player doesn't play or only comes on after the first goal is scored anyway. True, but IMO for players who are suspended or known to definitely be injured, people should just lose their money for their own ignorance.

What's going on?

To round off a truly wonderful afternoon, I was (again) a solitary goal away from winning a bet.
-
Oh I totally agree with it mate. I'm just having a breakdown, that's all. Anyway, I'm off, let's do this. Let's win. Let's win a lot. Yes, this is the day.
