  1. DARLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  2. Damn Brentford. Not that I had a bet on Millwall, but my banker Super 6 predictions have taken a hit.
  3. Was about to say the same, Josh. Exeter already 'beaten the offside trap numerous times'. Colchester with their very good home record decide to fuck about when there's money on them. That game might not last the distance though.
  4. Egypt v Algeria could be explosive later. A single goal defeat or better for Algeria and they're through. A three-goal margin for Egypt sees them through. However, a 2-0 win (or indeed a two-goal margin as far as I know) means they'll be completely inseparable and will need a play-off match at a neutral venue. This has probably already been posted.... oh well.

    Chris Hughton

So we should unconditionally be happy at being top no matter what? Our luck will end soon. No, but I don't see what this will achieve. Who knows if Hughton is a total 'yes' man? To me it's just an attempt to derail things further. And luck or no luck, you're top of the table, and quite frankly considering the amount of times the teams around you are cocking up, you won't be far from that position come the end of the season. Fwiw, no, I don't think Hughton is an especially good manager. But some of the criticism of him has been over the top IMO. A friend of mine, who makes regular visits to this board, said during the Sheff Utd game, "If we lose this, it's Hughton's fault"; and then later in the match went onto say, "If we win this, it'll have nothing to do with Hughton". I just don't get this attitude.

Forgive me for my ignorance of this magazine, but isn't that a fairly pathetic attempt at causing more trouble? You're top of the table ffs.

    The England Thread

I think to say people don't care about them is a bit of an exaggeration. On this occasion, a friendly game in a neutral country, thousands (?) of miles away, with most of our team that would play at the WC out, doesn't really fill me with enthusiasm.

Indeed. I'll watch it because it's on, and I'd like us to win, but I really won't be bothered when we don't. That said, like others, I'm really looking forward to the WC.
  9. So is there a specific reason why the game is in Doha?
  10. Blimey, an early game actually doing the business. £4 on Huddersfield v Wycombe Norwich v Tranmere Barnet v Hereford gives £14.11. £1 on Ireland v France DRAW Wales v Scotland Denmark v South Korea (I've been warned, cheers Michael. ) Colchester v Exeter gives £23.76.
  11. Absolutely brilliant. 2 stand-out parts for me are: and:
  12. Well if we're missing Emile then we're doomed.
  13. Robinho will head the same way.
  14. Liverpool finished something like 3 points behind Man Utd at the end of last season. Chelsea are currently top with Arsenal second. Could you point out which 2 of the 4 you're referring to? Which two teams have won the Premiership for the last I don't know how long. Even if you include the big 4 then, the Premier League is twice the size of the SPL so instead of having two big teams you have 4. There is no real difference. Except for the massive gulf in quality? Flippin' huge ocean wouldn't emphasise it enough.
  15. Wenger sniffing around Barca?
  16. Yes I fucking do. Kept scoring against us. Best wishes to Carlo, I can see you lurking.
  17. Don't think it's as good as previous ones, but Huddlestone cracked me up.

    Reds v Blues?

Well, what are everyone's thoughts on this Saturday date before Newcastle v West Brom? Only thing is, for people outside the area it seems a right trek just for a game (albeit the most important game of football in modern times).
  19. I should point out, I have no strong allegiance (meh, just prefer Barca generally), but to see Madrid get bummed by them was fairly amusing.
  20. Full time. Snigger. Alcorcon doing ole passes at the end there, brilliant.
  21. Gosling really hasn't impressed me thus far. But I'm prepared to give him time.
