A draw or win puts the Argies into the playoffs. A Uruguay win would get them it.
Ecuador (away to Chile) can sneak in if the two above draw and they win by six goals.
A draw or Argie win gives them the last automatic place, a Uruguay win puts the Argies in the playoff place.
If the Argies lose and Ecuador win then Argies are out altogther.
Really? Does it go down to head-to-head or something?
So that little montage of Beckham: the first 2 passes didn't reach their intended targets, the 3rd didn't create a good chance as it seemed to imply, and the 4th was a free shot from 18 yards he failed to hit the target from.
If Malta don't score, they'll have impressively gone the whole campaign without scoring a goal. Even Liechtenstein and San Marino have managed to score.
So I try just going for small profits, and Bournemouth contrive to lose at home to Chesterfield (first home defeat/away win), Rotherham held by Hereford and Charlton fail to even score a goal against Oldham at home. Bordering on ridiculous.
Most annoying thing is out of the 5 teams mentioned (double and treble), the 3 teams that are winning are of course on different lines. Change of luck please?
£5 on Bourneouth/Rotherham double, and £5 on Charlton, Huddersfield and Dag & Red.
Would be nice if 'won every game at home' Bournemouth would do something about their 1-0 deficit against 'lost every away game' Chesterfield.
Going down tomorrow to stick a couple of 'likely' doubles/trebles on.... but for the time being, a bit of fun:
Belgium v Turkey
Ukraine v England
Colombia v Chile
Portugal v Hungary draw
Quid on, 106/1.
