The Premier League isn't particularly exciting for the most part.

Wow, what a hit that is from Alves.

The game last season was woeful. Like the equally abhorrent Everton game we toyed with five at the back, an experiment that backfired quite badly. Like some have said Harper had a shocker, the Higginbotham freekick being the highlight, it can't of been any more than a couple of feet from him. The thing is we know what we're going to get, dealing with it is easier said than done. Especially with Simpson and Taylor in the back four. As Pardew has said we need to focus on our own game, try and keep as much possession as possible and really impose ourselves on the game. If we surrender the ball easily and insist on a long ball tactics we'll play into their hands and put ourselves under all kinds of pressure. I'd snap your hand off for a point, I'll go with a 2-1 defeat.

After a very decent seven weeks the last three weeks have been nothing short of an absolute disaster. Made about thirty points each week, it's partially self inflicted due to playing my wild card far too early mind. My lead in our personal league where we're playing for cash has been reduced to next to nothing, it might even be worth sacraficing a few points to sort my team out, it's carrying way too much dead weight. Ah well, swings and roundabouts and all that.

For those who went, how did he play generally? I presumed he'd play more of a holding role with Tiote's absence. -
Decent run and ball in for the penalty shout like. Maybe there's a footballer in there somewhere.

In hindsight the biggest positive to come from this is that it should give us a massive kick up the arse. We've not been good enough in our last two outings. On a completely unrelated noted I'm tired of hearing the 'unbeaten run is over' line. Was anyone actually counting games against Scunthorpe and Forest in the League Cup?

Having listened to the radio and watched some breif highlights: Positives Santon seemed to settle in alright. Marveaux seemed decent again. We created several half decent oppertunities. We once again showed great spirit. Negatives We sounded vulnerable down the right, a couple of the goals show as much. Our defending in our eighteen yard area was piss poor. The midfield looks lightweight without Tiote. Our performance sounded flat for the most part. Like I say, those who attended the game feel free to dispute. I can only go by what I heared/breifly saw.

Bright man: 'Look at that laser pen, we see that on the continent but it's unacceptable in England.' Aye, they're all absolute savages over the channel like.
