  1. And these passengers made it to the champions league finals three times in the last four years? Barca are the best team in the world but Man Utd are a better team than Real. You think? For me Real have more quality all over the park. Working harder this season too.
  2. I can't confirm any of this but my reliable source may contradict al.c's reliable source. My source may be an unnamed footballer from Timbuktu who probably plays from a side somewhere in Europe. He claims he thinks he knows Tiote's agent who might of told him Cheik recently had the club's logo inked into his nuts. I don't know if this is true but it backs up recent stories in the local press that Tiote is happy at the club. Don't shoot the messanger.
  3. The problem is while City and 'United' are very very good sides they aren't in the same league as Barca or Real. They carry passangers such as Carrick, Fletcher, Cleverly, Anderson, Wellbeck, Clichy, Lescott, Barry and Milner. Most are quality players in their own right but in comparison to the players the very best teams possess they don't quite cut the mustard. Real and Barca have immesnse quality all over the park, they don't carry the passangers the English sides do, they're just insanely good teams.
  4. Eurgh, I give up. A combination of having to make more speculative bets due to smaller stakes and sheer bad look I've won one, yes one bet all season. Woeful form. That continued tonight with Benfica losing the lead tonight despite looking comfortable.
  5. I've had the 'you haven't played anyone' digs thrown my way today.
  6. Arsenal-Marseille to score. Dortmund to score 2+ goals. Chelsea-1. Plzen-Barca first half to have 1.5 goals.
  7. Down from 8th to 31st in the space of two weeks.
  8. We're getting a lot of credit of neutral media sources, although a lot are adding the 'easy start' comment. At the end of the day you can only beat what is in front of you. You can't take anything for granted in the Premier League, it's alright saying we should beat Blackburn, Fulham and Wigan at SJP but it's exactly what we failed to do last season. A lot seem to be forgetting that We've played Spurs, Arsenal and Villa who are all well established top eight sides and given them all a good run for their money (perhaps Arsenal aside, awful game from both sides). Yes, we haven't played the very best sides and yes they'll most likely beat us when we do, but that's no reason to take credit away from our results thus far. With out squad it's night on impossible we'll maintian anywhere near the position we occupy at ths moment, but if pundits cannot give us credit for remaining unbeaten in ten Premier League games, winning six, that's their problem, I'm loving it. PS: Oh and while I'm ranting I hate the whole 'they've only played x amount of teams in the top half'. What's that got to do with the price of shit? Teams are moving up and down the league like there's no tomorrow at the moment. Yet it's still used as a stick to beat as with, beyond belief really.
  9. I don't think you can knock his effort and application, grafts his balls off. Like Ronaldo says though he's hit and miss as an attacking force. When he gets on the ball and dictates play he's immense though, give him time and he'll be doing it on a regular basis. We haven't seen the best of him just yet.
  10. Everton in talks with an Indian company regarding investment.
  11. I know a few Everton fans and Neil aside they generally hate us. All you tend to get is comments such as 'home of the replica shirt' or 'up themselves' or 'delusional Geordies'. It's a bit mystifying really. By the way Neil. Demba Ba A forward, you jelly?
  12. Liverpool game aside where they were well and truly shafted by the ref they're playing well without much luck.
  13. Sampdoria striker Antonio Cassano claimed in his 2008 autobiography, Vi Dico Tutto (I'll Tell You Everyting), to have had only four girlfriends in 11 years, and yet to have slept with "600-700 women". His time with Real Madrid was especially fruitful, and he recalls befriending a waiter who helped him smuggle girls in and out of one of the team's regular hotels. "His job was to bring me three or four pastries after I had sex. He would bring them up the stairs, I would escort the woman to him and we would make an exchange. Sex and then food, a perfect night." PB Brilliant, get well soon.
  14. Krul 8 - Dealt with the set pieces and throw-ins brilliantly. Simpson 8 - Kept Eitherington quiet and always looked solid. Easily his best performance of the season. Colo 9 - Absolute class act, flawless performance. Taylor 8 - Brave, never looked flustered. Taylor 8 - See Simpson. Pennant barely had a sniff. Obertan 7 - Much better today, looked dangerous on the break and generally put in a decent shift. Guthire 8 - Did the job you'd expect Cabaye to do, great use of the ball. Cabaye 6.5 - Quality first half, sloppy in the second. Jonas 8.5 - Brilliant defensive shift, without looking too dangerous going forward. Best 7 - Grafted his bollocks off. Defended from the front and remained a pest throughout. Ba 8.5 - Great application, great effort, great hattrick. Pardew 8.5 - Got his tactics absolutely spot on, ruined it by bringing Perch on for Cabaye, outragous decision.
  15. Dean has been as gullible as fuck. Fallen for every dive in the book, largely from Pennant and Crouch.
  16. He's not that bad man. That's exactly what he does though, he stands off his man and invites the cross, we've all seen it. He does, but not nearly as much as people like make out he does. He's done it just about every time he's been faced with a winger and a ball man. Does he bollocks, I think you'd find our defensive record would be much worse if he did.
