Putting the insane price tag aside for a moment. Jackson has lead the line for Chelsea in two top six finishes, scoring double figures in both. Objectively, they always look a better side with him playing due to his tireless running and pressing. Sure his composure needs some work and he is a hot head, but I don't understand folk going on like he's a total donkey. He'd do well for us and has scope to improve.

We seem to have prioritised a striker, leaving CB and CM to later in the window. But we've made such a fucking hash of signing a forward, compounded by Isak asking to leave, that it's all dragged on to this stage. Again, no strategy or leadership at all.

So we allegedly initiate talks with Milan. Hours later Romano is reporting they'd only accept a bid "completely outside of market value". Unfortunately it's going to be a theme for the rest of the window. We've left it so late clubs know we're desperate.
