VAR taking a look at a possible foul on the keeper

Awful defending from Sheff Utd
-
Last game of theirs I watched was against City and they were anything but boring
-
That's exactly it, they have a sense of entitlement, they think it's disgraceful if they struggle in a domestic season that they get to miss out on the Champions League It all boils down to wanting as much money as possible and for it to be guaranteed The initial idea was awful, they clearly didn't anticipate the backlash, and without the Premier League clubs it had next to no chance of getting anywhere The biggest call out was the removal of jeopardy and lack of meritocracy, so this time they think having 2 relegation spots from 16 is some sort of solution, all they did was present the same pig from 2 years ago and only put lipstick on it
-
They think they're being clever by introducing "promotion"/"relegation" but the merest of scratches beneath the surface reveal it's still very much built to benefit these clubs have a huge sense of entitlement The reality is the ESL and the main proponents of it are wanting it to get more money and the way you guarantee that is by removing the current process which is a meritocracy For all the flaws of UEFA, at least now if Villa finish top 4 they know are in the CL or if one of the "bigger" teams struggle in the league (Chelsea/Man U) then they rightly get to miss out on playing in the top competition Real/Barca will continue to push for it but without the PL sides it doesn't stand a chance

You do know his role isn't limited to just transfers?
-
Ref has clearly bottled it, not keen on giving a red card so early in the game He was looking straight at it

Chelsea 1-1 Newcastle United (19/12/23) Chelsea win 4-2 on penalties

He's lucky there is no VAR as that is a red -
Would be disappointed if he left because it was a bit of a coup to get him however he isn't the only guy in the world capable of doing that role so I'd be confident we would replace him adequately It seems like the foundation is laid out at the club already so anyone else coming in won't have to do a lot of the groundwork anyway

League Cup Quarter Final - Chelsea (a) -19/12/23 @ 8pm (live on SkySports)

Not sure I'd even give Murphy If we operated immediately he would still have spent the same length of time out injured, by playing him all we did was move the period he was out for slightly further along It's not like if we operated on him he would be back sooner so trying to get him to continue without surgery was hardly a big risk -

But even that why does he think a flying kick in the air is the way to go? I guess he was still upset with the hit in the face from Lascelles moments earlier and saw red and by the time he realised it was too late -

It's a blatant red card, I accept he pulled his leg back so it wasn't even worse but look at where the ball is at all times it makes no sense what he is even doing -
If he's mouthed off after the first yellow then it's the right decision Obviously consistency is an issue
-
Nah, surprised not given at Anfield though

Handball?

Nunez will turn into prime R9 against us
-
Carra's voice went proper high pitch there
-
We were far more threatening against Man U with a more depleted squad Though do think Liverpool will eventually score, Man U will invite more and more pressure on
-
Szoboszlai, more like slopposzlai
-
I want Liverpool to win but it's one of those fixtures where I'd be happy with any outcome
-
Liverpool already all over them Long afternoon in store for Man U
-
The ball was behind the blue line (defenders foot) so if they drew it from the ball it would still have been disallowed
-
It seems harsh but ultimately it was the correct decision Until they change the law to allow such goals to stand we'll always see such goals disallowed
-
I would ordinarily agree but Arsenal fans have become absolutely insufferable in the previous 12 months or so Ideally City get their act together because Klopp winning is hardly appealing either

What is the point of that shin pad?
