How do Isak and Wilson fit in the same team? Looked like an out and out striker last night. Replaces Almiron in our first 11?

We could set up similar to how City did with Haaland and Alvarez, plus in some games season before last didn't Wilson play to the right a bit? When Graeme Jones joined and we did the split striker thing (Not sure if I'm imagining this)

The problem is, fans of these teams that have been successful don't understand this. Barca or Liverpoo or City don't need to time waste like we did yesterday. They don't understand it is a way for smaller teams to kill the tempo and influence the game.

I've seen Liverpool do it before once they are up in a game, it's just called clever game management when they do it

Obviously it's a rare thing for them as they usually outmatch most teams they face

We've seen this arrogance from Klopp a lot over the last few years, the way he was upset that Spurs dared to take points off them last season

I don't blame teams when they waste time against us, it's the responsibility of the referee to book players if he feels that is happening, not one of our players was booked for it

I really hope their season collapses

After tonight with Klopp and his staff smerking like fucking idiots and seeing there fans act like that I hate them with a passion.

Hope we beat them at home and our fans give them utter shit all game.

Same, I genuinely want Everton to get a result against them on Saturday now

I said before VAR came in, it won’t sort out the problems we have with referee’s, it just allows them to go back and find an excuse. It’s easy for them to stick with the on field decision when they want too, or change it when they need too. It allows them to go to a foul way back in the build up if they need it, picking frames when the ball was ‘played’ for if they need a goal to be onside or offside.

The same guys who we have called incompetent at best and corrupt at worst are still the guys in the VAR room, still the guys training the referee’s and setting the agenda.

I'm still happy VAR is here, even if we have been shafted at times but we would still have been shafted without VAR. The linesman just guessed today and said it was offside, don't have VAR it doesn't change the outcome

Obviously VAR should have given us penalties against Wolves and City but without it we still aren't getting penalties but thanks to it being there we avoided going 2-0 down to Wolves

For me they need to look at offsides, there needs to be a better solution because the law wasn't introduced to stop goals with such fine margins being scored

Maybe i've preempted the negotiations. I'm sure I saw somewhere that he was set to stay and agree terms closer to what Barca wanted but can't seem to find such now.

But that's only if he agrees

If he declines then surely they have to pay him what they owe?

Brucey playing his 'Scott Parker' card and hoping for an early payoff for him and Alex?

T20 World Cup is in Australia and starts 16th October, that's probably his target to get a pay off

  7. What the PL are doing is just to align with the change to UEFA's FFP, which will be based on wages to turnover ratio, so for us it doesn't really change anything as the ownership will be well aware of what to do, key thing being to increase revenue

It being aligned makes it easier if anything because as long as we comply to UEFA then we we will automatically comply to the PL regulations

    Are they not entertained?

Seriously though I feel sorry for them. No football fan who loves their club should ever have to experience having Bruce in place as manager. I'm 40 years old and without doubt one of the worst managers I've ever seen since I first fell in love with football.

    I don't

At the time we told them what they were getting but a lot of them thought we were full of shit, that we were wrong and had unrealistic expectations, we harshly abused him etc etc

So I say let them suffer a little longer, it will be a valuable life lesson

I think it was Trippier who set Maxi away, moments later.

That was Schar, great pass with his left foot, Maxi struck the ball well but it was straight at the keeper

  10. From a GK situation we aren't massively better off as Darlow is an injury away from starting games

Ultimately he wants away so the club have done what's needed to facilitate that. Whilst we don't owe him anything, we've seen how crucial squad harmony is to the work Howe has done and it's better to allow someone to have the move they want instead of them moping around.

He's been a good keeper for us, so I have no issue with thanking him for that but I absolutely will not wish him well, I can't stand Man-U so I never want them to do well.

  11. His passing was so bad today, was overhitting basic ones, then even getting some longer ones wrong

He didn't hide like McTominay at least, gets stuck in but when his passing is bad it stands out

Any chance all the "ASM just isn't interested today, might as well take him off" crowd learned anything today?

Doubt it, they have short memories

In several group chats there were loads of comments about him doing too much, not passing, shooting, blah, blah, blah

It's strange the guy that's actually trying things, whether that is taking people on, having a shot etc is the one that gets the most stick

I'm glad he silence those, however we know the next time he has a quieter game they'll be out in force again

It reminds me of people that used to give Ben Arfa stick but genuine shite like Obertan/Ryan Taylor got nowt

ASM is brilliant in my eyes and I think Howe sees him that way too, he like Keegan/SBR recognises what someone like him can bring to the team

I disagree to be honest, when Bruno came on they had a 10 minute spell where they where pressing, and we needed someone in the middle to calm things down, and slow the game down, which Bruno is good at.

Howe has said he wants to priorities the cups, which means putting your best players on to see a game out.

Ordinarily I would agree but they were kicking players and the ref was letting them, was asking for trouble
