Wouldn't mind that me want Leeds and Everton to go down would amazing. No way are we finishing anywhere near the bottom 3 now.

Nah, want Arsenal to win cos I'd like the gap to 18th to remain the same and I see only Arsenal beating Man-U to 4th, which would be lovely

The run we've been on have been mostly without our marquee signings too of Bruno and Trippier

He's done so well to get a tune out of the same squad that struggled so much at the start of the season with additional signings which wouldn't have looked out of place in the Ashley era (Wood, Burn, Targett). That's not to disrespect those players but it's not like we've bought our way out of trouble by signing superstars, it's still majority the same squad

Yeah, it's a bit annoying seeing comments like impact of money or thay we've bought ourselves out of trouble

The signings as you say aren't anything out of the ordinary but it's improving the existing players that's been key

  3. I thought he did really well when he came on, couple of really nice passes to ASM.

Got done initially when he came on but absolutely loved how calm he was on the ball. He's clearly a confident lad, rather than aimlessly kick it away only for them to immediately attack he looked to retain possession

I think he has to start against Southampton, triple J have played quite a few games in a row now so time to freshen it up

  4. I thought it was a solid enough loan signing but I was of the opinion that I didn't want us to sign him on a permanent.

However in the games that he's played he has impressed enough that I think it would be daft not to try and sign him.

Signings are never a guarantee so if we can sign him on a permanent then we get a dependable LB and we can concentrate on other areas of the pitch. Plus he's homegrown so helps with that when we start getting rid of the likes of Hayden, Ritchie etc

You're right it's not on us as football fans, I'm not saying that at all. What I'm saying is a show of support for Ukraine, while Yemen is blockaded, is bad optics at best.

A show of support for Ukraine whilst UEFA fine Celtic fans for showing support for Palestinians is also bad optics is it not

It's all bollocks and hypocrisy all round

The thing is, if Inter did some deal where they agreed to take Sunderland players on loan or something, it would be all ‘prestige’ and amalgamated badges as ready to go avatars. Levels.

They've got a relationship after the Alvarez deal ??

Steve Bruce on #wba chances of promotion this season ‘It’s a bit of a longshot now I have to say’

Ruined their promotion hopes in 5 games, that has to be up there as one of the worst managerial appointments going

Manager of the month for February surely?!

    Took 10 points from a possible 12.

Liverpool won all 4 games but to be expected from them.

Burnley took 9 from a possible 15, only lost to Liverpool but drew with Man-U and beat Spurs.

No doubt probably a bit biased but has to be Howe for me.

  9. As much as I want him to start and wanted him to start ages ago Howe has played this very well

Ultimately triple J have been playing well and we've been getting results that meant Bruno can be eased into it

We have a lot of games coming up (5 in 15 days, whilst we've just had 4 in 18 days) so he'll get plenty of game time. Once he's in the side I think that'll be him in

Possibly but he played probably double the games…

obviously Ben Arfa had more talent… just think Robert and Bellamy really turned us round back then along with Dyer

I think Pardew played a part in that however don't get me wrong, I'm not having a go at Robert, I absolutely love the guy and you are spot on, that transfer window was quite transformative for us.

Just think sometimes people don't realise how effective Ben Arfa was, especially when you consider a lot of his minutes were interrupted by being chucked on and Pardew expecting "magic" after his starters had let him down

I don’t remember him being that bad , in fact for me he was a huge part of why we were successful in them times. He was a better player ( more output and more impact ) than Ginola and Ben Arafat who are universally loved.

I'd have to hunt out the stats again but a few years ago when I checked I'm sure Ben Arfa had a better G+A per minute ratio than Robert
