To think we had a spurious link to Henderson. Worrying.
I said at the time he would be a bad buy, he's not much better than Dubravka if at all
Got no issues with replacing Dubravka as he has had a few poor moments but we should be looking to get a better level of keeper than Henderson

Can't remember, was he pushed out at Chelsea? He was great there, been wank at ManU.
Mourinho sold him, I'm sure in the run up to that he had criticised his defensive work or something
It is a shame because for a couple of years at Chelsea he was class

Keeping him away from the training ground, smart decision

Where are they getting this money from? I'm sure some financial wizard on rtg said our owners are actually broke and the takeover is not what it seems?

I'd go for Jesus if City get haaland.
They have signed Alvarez who will be joining in the summer so Jesus could be behind him so it's not a bad shout

You can go for any keeper and you are having Henderson?

If he has a proper fall out with Rangnick I wonder could he be released to move. What’s the point on holding onto him? They’ve made a complete shit show of this not just letting him come to us.
Even if he is now released I don't think we can sign him
Ultimately Lingard to Newcastle has gone imo regardless of which league we end up in

They don’t play until Sheff Utd on the 9th, the players have got six days (two training days) to get used to his methods.
Didn’t realise they are where they are, highly likely they’ll end up outside the playoffs now
Can’t wait to watch it all unfold.- How many minutes into his first press conference will he mention Rafa?
- He’ll be blaming the previous manager’s defensive football.
- Players in his first match saying “I don’t know what to do” as Sheff Utd hoy in the third goal.
- An injury crisis awaits.
- A mole to appear in the club to create tensions with the local media.
- Alex wheeled out to defend him on TalkSport.
- Telling them he can’t be judged after two seasons as he can’t “turn it around overnight”.
- Mr Sheen sales will rise in Birmingham ready to dust themselves down.
- Sleeves being rolled up everywhere.
Alex now has a "job" so think he'll refrain from getting into twitter or talksport debates

The following line in The Athletic Transfer questions article is worrying
"Howe is believed to have assessed the final list again, with it appearing to be a straight call between Clark and Federico Fernandez for the last centre-back berth."

Aye. Not like this place suggests Keegan or Rafa every time we want a new manager.
We didn't hound Keegan or Rafa out so the comparison doesn't work
Now if we were clamouring for Pardew or McClaren then fair enough

Squad Size
All 20 teams will have to register a squad of 25 players at the end of each transfer window. It is not as simple as just selecting your 25 strongest players, though.
Importantly, each squad must contain at least eight players who are considered "homegrown" talents. The rules will only apply to the Premier League, though, leaving clubs with more freedom in the domestic cup competitions as well as European competition.Homegrown Players
A homegrown player does not necessarily have to been English by birth or even through family. The official explanation given by the Football Association is that a homegrown player is one who "irrespective of nationality or age, have been affiliated to the FA or Welsh FA for a period of three seasons of 36 months prior to their 21st birthday."
This means that players like Cesc Fabregas are considered homegrown as he has been registered at Arsenal since the age of 16.I am aware of those homegrown rules, just found it odd that Dummett specifically was mentioned
We can easily keep 8 homegrown players without even looking at Dummett and also we can sign others too so it's not really an issue as such imo

The 8 homegrown players rule. Has a point. While we have plenty at the moment, most are dross. Trippier and Burn, then maybe keep Lascelles, Longstaff, Willock, Woodman and Lewis for the near future. Then we can also get in some more in the summer.
We could have the following for the foreseeable
Trippier
Burn
Wilson
Murphy
Wilson
Fraser
Willock
Darlow/Gillespie
That's 8 and in theory we could get rid of any of those 8 and buy another homegrown player

Schar is the only one I'd keep but we may need to keep dummett for the squad reg rules.
What rules?
-
I think the league we are in would matter, if we get relegated then I think keeping someone like Fede would be vital, maybe even Schar too
Don't know what Langley is like but the rest I'd let go

Replaced Coutinho in the 73rd minute when Brazil was leading 2-0. Good passes to Antony and Raphinha. Slipped once. Came on as LCM but got himself further forward on a few occasions. It was on one of them that both him and Rodrygo broke free in the box with only the keeper to beat, square pass to Rodrygo to score.
Yeah, was impressed with him. Obviously helped Brazil absolutely dominating possession.
That assist I've just watched back, on 86:27 he plays a pass just outside his own box and on 86:39 he's playing a square box just outside the 6 yard box to get an assist.
Shelvey could have played that first pass but there's no way he's in the box for the second one.
-
Full time. Good little run out for him, don't think he missed a pass. Some good one twos and got himself an assist.
-
In the build up he passed the ball deep into his own half but something we aren't used to he kept going whilst a couple of passes continued and then got himself in the box
-
Assist for Bruno

Guessing they play with a big man alongside him? Doubt they’ll be able to play a pressing game with him? As long as he’s not expected to defend and just hover anywhere within 20 yards of goal, he’ll score.
They have the Loch Ness Drogba

Is he left or right footed? if left, then it´s obvious he will play "inside left", if not I think he would be more of a number eight with big Joe... and shelvey as our hollywood pass sprayer
in the middle
He's right footed

If he was that good, then why havn’t any of the so called big European clubs gone after him.
So Bruno Guimaraes is no good?
