Where does this spending leave us for the summer with FFP?
Think we are fine for a few windows and that doesn't factor in any sponsorship to boost that further

I’d rather we just signed Lingard on loan
I think we've tried but Man-U are being ridiculous, so unless they become reasonable it won't happen
-
Carrasco would definitely fit the criteria of surprise but just don't see it happening

Think more stop gaps to keep is up and maybe come back in the summer.
Or buy even better players than them
Agreed, when I say alternatives I mean to get us through to the summer and at that stage they can become the back ups

The absolute audacity of these lot slagging off our transfer business when they are signing Danny Batth and Patrick Roberts
Batth scored an unreal diving header at the weekend though?

So Diop and Burn are the sensible/realistic alternatives to Carlos and Botman
-
Napoli signed Osimhen for €70m so could be mixing it up with that

Even on loan it seems a bit pointless when you have Lewis, Manquillo, Dummett and now Burn who can do that role. Granted they're not the best, but neither is Taggart.
I guess Burn is being signed to play CB
Dummett is very limited on the ball, Manquillo has done well there but he's not a natural left back
Which leaves Lewis, I like him but he's not played much for Howe so maybe he wants someone a bit more dependable
-
I'd be okay with Targett on loan but permanent would be underwhelming as I'm sure with a bit more time in the summer we can get better
-
Wouldn't be a surprise if clubs that started upping the price of their players will be contacting us after we walked away and didn't cave (Ekitike and Lingard for example)

Is there a TV alternative to SSN, by the way? Would quite like to have something on in the background tomorrow but can’t be arsed with Sky and all their clichés.
There is no alternative
Whilst SSN is clichéd when it comes to Transfer Deadline Day it's the place to watch it.
And for the first time in years it's worth watching from our perspective.

Absolutely no chance. City’s facility to bring him on for 20 minutes when the game is done is much better for his development than a high-pressure relegation battle.Plus it was reported last month we tried and City rejected it

One of them saying no to Hughton because they need someone to get them promoted to the Premier League next season.
Not like them to be getting ahead of themselves

Then the club were fucking stupid for inserting one and one so low I imagine. Probably a signing that benefitted agents/Ashley personally the most…
I'm sure he would only sign if there was a release clause

Cabral for the mysterious European striker?
Gone or going to Fiorentina I think, as a replacement for Vlahovic

Simply age reasons over 30 on his way down for a striker
But we don't need to worry about getting our money back in 3-4 years, if he can help us over the next few season it's a no brainer

Another manager hounded out
It's funny that they claim hounding out managers is Mag behaviour yet in the time they've hounded out the following
Moyes, Coleman, Grayson, Ross, Parkinson and Johnson
We've hounded out Bruce
-
They've done well with the Bruno signing despite their ownership being a shambles . . . .

Get in

Happy with this signing, it's very sensible if not a wow signing
He's good on the ball, passes it well, can play both CB and LB. He's strong enough and is good in the air defensively. Plus we know he'll give it his all.
Though it's a surprise that he doesn't have more goals considering how big he is.

Henderson's not that good imo.
I agree
Lots of keepers look good when playing for crap teams (Sheff Utd) but his stint at the end of last season wasn't that impressive from what I saw
I have no issue with upgrading on Dubravka at some point but I think we can do better than Henderson

6,17 was the time of the last post in the NUFC thread, it's now on page two.
Is this a rtg record ?
edit...it's been locked
I suppose it's tough to try and say Bruno Guimaraes is a shit signing on the day you got twatted off Bolton

Jesse Lingard

It's such a ridiculous clause (or certainly the amount is) that it sets a daft precedent
What happens if Lingard gets injured, doesn't kick a ball for us but we stay up? Imagine handing over £12m for that
