  1. Yeah, winning all 3 seems unlikely especially as the pressure will be huge 7 points wouldn't be too bad actually, plus maybe we get a surprise win/draw in December It is going to be incredibly difficult to stay up, we just need to be not too far adrift and also we need to make sure our transfers are done as early as possible. From middle of Jan until March those fixtures are the ones we need to target.
  2. Agreed, wasn't effective going forward but that's more down to how we played (or didn’t) He grafted plenty in terms of defensive and when he did get the ball he was closely surrounded by 3-4 players
  3. I think Howe will get better out of him and agree, there are others that need binning Miggy was poor today but he at least grafted
  4. The obvious solution is to get rid of Ole and get a manager that's capable of coaching his players, that has an understanding of tactics, that has an identity and can get players to buy into that. However they won't get rid of him, at least not yet, they've had plenty of opportunity to do that before and not taken it. Getting schooled of City isn't a shock, so why would this be the final straw? He'll probably get a result against Watford and Chelsea, his job secure but then mess up again, then rinse and repeat. What I will say is that he has done a good job overall, when you consider the situation the team were in. He has assembled a good squad, strengthening many areas but the improvements they made were due to his man management and individuals stepping up but that only gets you so far. Being mates with the players, especially after Mourinho was a prick to them works for a while but to compete at the top you need more about you, he doesn't have that and never will. Long may it continue cos I don't like Man-U because a good manager with a 1-2 additions can get this squad competing.
  5. Sancho coming on, guess he has no choice but to go for it Hopefully that just opens up the spaces more
  6. You think they'll get rid on the back of this? I'm not so sure, getting schooled by City regardless of the result was inevitable
  7. Not sure how that went in but get in (assuming it's not offside)
  8. Yep, the longer De Gea keeps them in the game it seems inevitable City have created enough to at least be 2 up
  9. Almost another OG De Gea keeping Man-U in the game
  10. How on earth did Jesus not score there
  11. But City haven't created any real chances for all the ball they are having
  12. Just stay in the game until the last 20-25 mins and then look to attack That's why I want a City 2nd, should open the game up more
  13. Varane is injured and he wants to play 3 at the back to be solid as only 2 defenders can't be trusted Maybe AWB as part of a back 3 would be better?
  14. Hopefully City get a second whilst they are on top otherwise Moments FC will probably equalise
  15. Employing Bruce was far more shambolic than this, at least we are approaching competent football managers and not just getting a fat prick that loves holidays
  16. If reports are to be believed then he had already agreed verbally to join, so not sure why the sack clause put him off As for Howe, if we do go down then I'd be more than happy for him to try and get us promoted
  17. We do need do accept our reality which is that we are 6 points adrift after a relatively kind set of fixtures In addition we don't have the structure in place yet (understandably so) so it's not a normal situation where we are looking for a manager If this happened in July I'm convinced we would get a much better calibre of manager but the timing and situation is making things difficult We do ideally need someone in soon, so we can a) look to pick up much needed points and b) identity the priority signings needed so we can get them done at the start of January
  18. No chance we get 7 from the next 3 but I don't think that's necessarily a must. I'd say a minimum of 7 from the next 5 is needed, ideally 9.
  19. I would hope its the minimum but with Charnley supposedly leading interviews/negotiations I'm not so sure
  20. You are right but do you reckon Btuce is capable of putting a presentation/plan together?
  21. No chance he's realistic He's set for a mint season with Brighton, his stock is going to rise, coming to us is a massive risk
  22. The timing is really shite, if this was in the summer things would be very different. I'm just thinking about 4 weeks ago we had Ashley as owner with Bruce as manager, we are already in a much better position, I'm willing to give these guys time to get a manager in.
  23. Not a fair comparison at all, they are an established club with clearly established roles We only last month had a shit owner, with a shit manager and seemingly one person in a senior position (Charnley) who is shit too All of that needs sorting, Spurs don't have to deal with any of that
