  1. People on twitter saying we have had a £10m bid accepted according to the Daily Mirror, well no links to the Daily Mirror have been provided, and I've checked their twitter account and their website and there is no sign of it.

With the way we play, spending £10m on a forward player is like pouring perfume on a pig.

Really hoping this the start of some changes in Pardew too.

I think remy will change our shape and change our way of attack if he joins. I don't think he will be upfront unless Cisse is rule out of a game but will play in forward three with Ben Arfa and Marveux.

    Something like this:

                    Cisse

    Ben Arfa  Marveux  Remy

              Cabaye  Tiote

All the 3 players behind Cisse would be interchangeable, Remy would also be able to drop into Cisse's location if and when needed.

    Where will Jonas play?

  2. Apparently Pardew has said that we are close on 3 or 4 deals.

I don't think he said we are close, just that they are warming up (whatever the hell that means in Pardew speak)

  3. Would people be satisfied with remy and nothing else? The fact it's not that ridiculous to suggest we get neither makes me think just debuchy and remy wouldn't be too bad a window. All three seems a bit optimistic.

Nope, Remy and CB is minimum BUT it is sad we have got to this stage where we are satisfied with what are basically crumbs

  4. How about the German league? Much tougher defenses for starters and besides he's never achieved anything at an international level, and never won a major trophy at international level, not even the Copa America so yeah not exactly proven on the international stage and as said he hasn't played outside of Spain.

Besides he is the greatest of this generation I agree wholeheartedly but all I stated was that he hasn't proven himself in a different league or on the international level thus it's hard to judge him on such a scale as the greats (by which I mean he is up there but we can't really say how he would cope in Germany for example).

    :frantic:

Jesus you'd think I'd stated that he was worse than Shola.

    So who is the greatest?

  5. Stevie Me's Ballon D'or vote (he gets one as national team captain): 1) Messi 2) Ronaldo; 3) Xabi Alonso

No bias involved with choice 3 then.

Roy Hodgson's Ballon D'Or vote (he gets one as a national team manager): 1) Messi; 2) Ronaldo; 3) Falcao

    Full lot - http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/ballond'or/playeroftheyear(men)/01/98/07/84/fboawardmenplayer2012-bycountry.pdf

Bruno Alves went with 1) Ronaldo 2) Falcao 3) RVP

  6. Chairman has sensible transfer policy and fans demand more expenditure shocker

Sensible? Having 3 senior CB's at the club, 1 who is injury prone and 1 is a Championship level defender is sensible?

Having 3 senior strikers at the club (now 2), 1 of which is Shola Ameobi, is sensible?

It's far from sensible, it's downright stupid and is hurting us now on the pitch.

It's not about the expenditure, it's about having a balanced squad with depth. Our squad was short for last season BUT with the additional European games it was obvious more bodies were needed and we didn't get it, that isn't sensible.

  7. Interesting that AP was quoted saying he thought the deal would've been done in time for the Brighton game... I thought it was...

Surely if we wanted him to play we could have made it happen, Ba played for Chelsea even though his signing was confirmed after Debuchy

  8. Compare his latest spiel with Cisse's tweets. Two different characters. Reallly hope this allows Cisse to push on because you can see he care's, Ba? like f***. Wish him nowt but failure.

Until Cisse leaves and then he will be called a "mercenary" cunt

  9. Where's all the people sticking up for him now?

Guy is a mercenary c***, selfish and an massive ego perfect for London. It is very easy to be blinded be his goal tally as a lot were, but i'm delighted we've got rid.

Can't wait till he's benched or picks up a huge injury, then everyone can move on from the c***. You won't be waiting long.

Pretty much all footballers are "mercenaries" then

He is earning more money and playing for a better team, it's a no brainer

Wishing injury on players is pathetic, that too a guy that played very well for us
